Warning! Stairs, but not just stairs, but three sets of narrow, uneven steps with handrails on only one set of stairs. Quite treacherous when wet, especially when carrying luggage up and down. It would have been helpful if someone from management had offered to help get the luggage to the apartment. (Our flat in Stresa also had three sets of stairs, but there were handrails and the manager carried our luggage.) Also, the pictures of the flat do not show the magnitude of the dangerous stairs.Our stay was marred by construction next door, hammering, drilling, and loud crashing of stone. I know the Varenna Holidays had no control over this, but there should have been a warning ahead of time so we could have made alternative plans.The apartment itself, although small, was certainly sufficient for two couples. Having a washer/dryer unit was definitely a bonus. Overall, we were disappointed with the facility. We've been VRBO customers for decades and this was definitely the most dissatisfied we've ever been because of the stairs and the noise.
