"What an amazing hidden gem. The location and the property is wonderful. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us. All communication was quick and helpful. Robert and Vinna were excellent property managers and offered assistance when we needed. The island itself is beautiful (so many butterflies and birds!). Top food recommendation is Kai Time - their food is delicious. "

"Hilltop Villa was exactly as advertised — wonderful views, beautifully open layout, and excellently staffed. We had a catered dinner for six of us the day we arrived, and the food was first-rate. Same for a later breakfast and lunch. One caution: the walk down to the beach is no more than 15 or 20 minutes, but the walk back uphill can take double the time. The good news: There’s that lovely pool waiting for you when you make it back to the top."

Steve and Allison were attentive to all our needs and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The location was remote with the sounds of nature and Fijian life surrounding you. Do not miss out on the blowhole or rainbow reef! Beware the property does require a bumpy drive and wifi is hard to come-by on all of Taveuni. Overall ann amazing stay! "

"Our visit was very disappointing. The hotel looked nothing like the pictures that were uploaded. It was old and run down, with no-one having visited for two years. Also, the description of the hotel was incorrect at best, but more accurately deceptive. Only the bedroom has operating air conditioning (which didn’t work our first night!) and it only works during the night. The furniture is old and falling apart. We had a bees nest in one wall, a wasp nest in the bathroom and ants in every single...

One of the best I’ve ever had—deeply relaxing, soulful, and set against the soothing sounds of the ocean. She truly has healing hands! Jima's Home Retreat: Where Peace Finds Home

"This is a great place to stay with a great family. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, had a wonderful easy time and were very sorry to leave. This isn't a hotel or resort - it's a homestay and we really felt at home. Jale, Nita, Sia and Jima are creative, interesting and generally exceptional people and perfect hosts. They can organise lots of things for you to do, but they don't 'push' anything. It's up to you. The food was REALLY excellent - some of the best food we've eaten, ever, anywhere. My two boys (aged 8 and 10) and I stayed for four nights and would have happily made it forty if we could have. Leaving was a bit of a shock to the system! If you and/or your kids like playing rugby, it's an especially great place. More broadly, Taveuni is a beautiful island - quiet but with things to see and do. Really worth a visit. Give it as much time as you can. Vinaka Vaka Levu - we look forward to coming back which we will certainly do. "

"Loved my week long stay at Taveuni. I decided on this place for the grounds, accessibility to the ocean, and opportunity to interact with others. The plantation grounds were lovely. Rooms are variable - I recommend Bure 112 (upgraded) or 5. Haven’t seen many others. The restaurant was reliable - big meals in the evenings. Great omelet and pancakes. Try the road for the best roti, papaya and plantains or a fish meal for $1.50-$5 US. Kava and songs in the evenings. Lovely ladies in staff will help you with everything you need. Fins and snorkel, towel rental. Shower out back for late flight departures. Nice pool. Central location. Excursions with Pete, Mateo and Batman car were great. Walking distance to a couple food places, airport and two small markets, and beautiful evening sunsets (Tramonte)/sunrises. "

"We changed our plans at the last minute and happened to come across Sau Bay on Google Maps. It looked like a great spot for a resort, so we decided to give it a try. After our stay, my girlfriend and I found it incredibly difficult to leave. We absolutely loved this place and didn’t have a single complaint. The resort itself is beautiful, and staying there was an absolute pleasure. It’s a small, intimate retreat, accommodating only about 16 guests, which made for a peaceful and personal experience. The staff were, without a doubt, the highlight of our visit. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, treating us better than at any other resort we’ve been to. From the warm welcome, with them singing on the beach as we arrived, to the delicious food and drinks prepared daily, every detail was top-notch. The dive masters were also outstanding, making our experience exploring the Rainbow Reef even more unforgettable. I can’t wait to return and explore more of Sau Bay. I’ll definitely be back!"
