House in Valladolid, with small pool

The house is ideally located in Valladolid, one block from the main square and a short walking distance to several good restaurants. The house is of typical, 1950's Mexican concrete construction, and it is not anyone's idea of luxurious. Functional is a better descriptor. There are fans in the living area, but the only A/C is in the bedrooms. Beds are comfortable. Everything was clean. Aged and faded, but clean. The living area could use better seating, although it is possible to sit by the pool where it's shaded and pleasant. There's parking for one car. Internet was mostly good, but I did have trouble connecting when I was by the pool. Keep all food in the fridge because, being the humid tropics, ants will get into anything that is left out!! I think our relatives, accustomed to a nice big house in the States, thought the house was old and rundown, but my wife and I, who are more adventurous and accustomed to roughing it, thought it was fine. Just don't expect the Taj Mahal.
