The hotel was very well located. I had the breakfast twice it was extremely good, choice and quality. We had a triple room, it was ok, my only slight issue was we had to ask for a third towel on a few occasions. The food in the bar was very good. I’m afraid our main disappointment was the bar staff, if there was an award for the most curt and grumpy bar man, the older of the two barmen would win it!

Short autumn break in Valencia

A visit for the Valencia half marathon. The hotel was excellent, convenient for the race, whether running or viewing, comfortable, great breakfast buffet and welcoming staff. Easy to get into the city centre and across to the City of Arts and Sciences area.

Staff great but...

Staff were great and room OK though a little cramped. The room that we had was "tired". Wardrobe doors did not run smoothly, bath was detached from the surround and the toilet very cramped.

Hotel Valencia Center

Stayed for a long weekend, over the Fallas festival, great location, nice hotel, staff very friendly, Reception and bar was fictional, but bar staff nice, Breakfast has excellent selection and was good. The double room was a little small if a couple staying but I was on my own, bathroom fine though, cleaned everyday. Rooftop pool technically not in operation this time of year and a little small, the lower flor terrace and pool area are very cramped with little access to sun with overhanging building structure. The hotel is good access to the old town, and beach, lots of food and bars, lovely restaurant directly opposite.

The property is near most of the tourist attractions in Valencia, there are lots of places to eat nearby, like Dulce de Leche who serves Argentinian delicacies to die for, there is a queue always but so worth it. A little Thai restaurant is just in front of the hotel and they serve lovely food in the most affordable price, kudos to their chef. And back to Hotel Valencia Center who went above and beyond our expectations, who served us champagne and cake slices on my birthday, maybe because I’m a platinum member of Expedia. The hotel itself is just fab when it comes to food served at breakfast time, to the cleanliness of the area, the courteousness of staffs, always eager to help, our big thanks to Jose Marie for all the help. All in all a five star experience.

I'm not a picky person, however, this hotel had its challenges. (1) It's outdated. The rooms need a refresh. (2) The bathroom layout makes it very difficult to get into and out of the shower (3) We had to change rooms twice due to issues specific to those rooms during our stay. The highlight of this hotel is its breakfast buffet. That was exceptionally well ran, robust choices, good food, and friendly staff.

Not the best attitude!

We booked a night at this hotel for our golden wedding anniversary, as it was a special anniversary we booked a suite. The suite was clean and comfortable although a little tired. But it was a nice room. Unfortunately at 02.45 we were awoken by water pouring through the bathroom ceiling from the room above, it was also running through to the hallway. We tried to ring through to the reception but that line was dead, so my husband had to go down to reception where he was told, all we can do is move you to another room. Reception then gave him another room key. So at 03.30 we’re having to pack up everything in our room and move to the next room. For this upheaval and wet belongings we were given a refund of 20% €34! We sent an email to Victor Valero to reassess the refund, but was told that no, that decision stands. Nice hotel until something goes wrong.

Positive:- 3 sets of lifts, so there was no waiting getting to your room, large balcony. The breakfast was fine, location was good. What I did not like was deep bath to step into out of, which was not clean on arrival!, The room was in need of updating especially as we had the so called EXECUTIVE SUIT, no cups or spoons with the kettle, balcony door did not lock, wardrobe door flapping around. Only a news channel for British travellers, unless your able to translate. The internet was totally unreliable, even though it was reported nothing done.
