"We stayed in this beautiful house with three families. The swimming pool was amazing. The house was of high quality and was very clean. It easily fitted our 12 people group which included 6 adults and 6 children. Toni the host was very responsive and was kind enough to arrange a pack and play for our little one and also to help us with receiving documents and our lost luggage. This 17th-century palace, once the residence of the Marqués Velasco, was painstakingly rebuilt and transformed into a boutique hotel. Its proximity to Santander provides easy access to the city, while its serene surroundings ensure a peaceful retreat. A highlight of our stay was the exceptional culinary experience offered by the hotel's Michelin-starred chef. Please note that this exclusive experience is available by reservation only, so be sure to book in advance. I'm not sure why Hotel Pico Velasco is rated only 3 stars, perhaps due to the lack of a spa or concierge service. However, in my opinion, it deserves a much higher rating. The hotel's charm, character, and exceptional service make it a truly fantastic choice. I highly recommend Hotel Pico Velasco to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. Don't let the 3-star rating fool you – this hotel is a hidden gem!"

"We have stayed several times now for a couple of days to enjoy the north of Spain whilst travelling. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the apartments are always spotless and fitted out to a high standard Bar and restaurant are good with nice outside area to take a tipple and food, breakfast is very good. Some nice walking from the door which is great if travelling with a four legged friend as it is a dog friendly apartment and 20-25 mins to a number of beaches. Parking is no problem though does get busy in the evening and weekends It is next to a busy road however the rooms are very well sound proofed so no problem there we will surely be back. "
