One of the largest indoor pools you'll find at any hotel in this price range and it was fun to connect to the bluetooth speaker in there as well. Great location, nice big rooms, good breakfast. Won't stay anywhere else anytime we come for a football or basketball game.

We arrived early to the hotel and the staff graciously let us check in early! They also upgraded our room! The room was wonderful, perfectly cleaned. The whole entire place smelt clean and fresh. The workers were very kind and attentive. Nothing but great things to say! Very conveniently located. The bathroom HAD HEATING LAMPS!!! The most wonderful thing I have ever seen! Loved this place!

Well, This property is changing names and probably owners. It looks like it is starting to get renovated. The front desk was very cordial and helpful. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. The hallways at night are pretty dark. The furniture in the room was old and worn, but the bathroom seemed up to date. The shower was nice and warm. I think once it gets finished it will be a great place to stay for a reasonable price. It’s decent now but I have high hopes for it.

No room service, my room key kept getting disconnected, my reservation was for 2 beds but I got 2 bed. The bed was not clean, only had 1 large towel and 1 small towel. Never staying here again.

The rooms and hotel have a mildew like smell. Took forever to check in because they weren’t happy with people reserving through Expedia . The lady at the front desk was very rude. The breakfast isn’t what they claimed online .

Currently undergoing refurbishment that, when completed, will make this a really nice hotel and great bargain. I would stay there again, but would recommend a better explanation from the front desk that the rooms - which are down a long corridor in what is essentially another building - would be more easily accessed by driving and parking near that building's door.

Love having a suite with separate bedroom and living/kitchen area! Needs a remodeling (stained hallway carpets) and especially a plumbing update (leaking shower in swimming pool area, that caused the wall to be soaked; the bedroom shower faucet has a tiny leak). Breakfast is average but adequate. Very clean bedroom and facilities and the swimming pool is very clean! Management is very responsive when we asked for replacement of microwave and housekeeping requests. I will stay again as the price is just right.

Room did not have extra blanket or pillow for fold out sofa bed. We called main desk to request items and no one answered. We went to the main desk in person to request items & they said someone would bring them and no one ever brought the items. We had to sleep without a pillow. Sofa bed is very old & had thin mattress with metal bars underneath. Would not recommend this property.

I do not recommend this property. We were not given the room we reserved, when asked about a price adjustment they said no because it’s the busy season. We reserved a suite that could sleep 6, instead we got two queen standard room. The breakfast buffet was not very appetizing or tasty. We stayed for three nights and received no housekeeping. They didn’t even change our towels or empty our garbages. It was a very disappointing stay. I will not be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion Inn and Suites in Urbana, Illinois, feeling appreciated that we chose to stay there. For us having the option of a room with a sliding glass door that opens onto a grassy area with trees and a picnic table was nice. We liked being able to open the room up and have fresh air. The grout in the tiled bathroom was clean which takes effort. The shower was adjustable to 2 different heights. We had never seen that before and felt it would be helpful if you were travelling with children. Additional space in the bathroom for toiletries would be helpful. The breakfast team used gloves to restock toast and muffins. They also restocked the eggs in a new pan rather than topping off the existing one and swapped the full trash can for an empty one instead of changing the liner near the food. The hotel provides a shuttle service for guests. We were able to leave the car at the hotel, take the shuttle to the Amtrak station and get picked up when we returned from Chicago four days later. Another plus is a heated indoor pool that is available to guests and the community. There was an exercise class in the pool one morning. While we were in Chicago, a small restaurant opened in the lobby and future plans include a small art gallery. There are more upgrades to come. Staying here is a wonderful way to support a small business owner who genuinely wants his guests to enjoy their stay.

Faulty equipment in the gym falling apart. None operating laundry room. Most importantly, the chicken nuggets from breakfast are totally rotten and bad!!! Serious health concerns!!
