We had booked the Deerpark location, but the morning we were to check-in, we received a message indicating that we've been moved to a different rental location due to a 'plumbing issue at Deerpark'. "The castle was even better than expected. We were pleased the moment we drove up. The rooms were all clean and well kept up. Each room was decorated different. Our family was pleased with their rooms. The breakfast room was so inviting in the mornings. We had the caterer for our meals and it was so far beyond what we were expecting. Absolutely delicious. We were gone most days but we did enjoy games of croquet and soccer before dinner. There were many choices of outdoor games available. Also in the building across from the castle they could play pool, table tennis and foose ball. The evening meal was elegant and delicious. We were here for my husbands 80th birthday. There were 14 of us. We fit into the castle beautifully. It is a holiday we will remember. Thank You Zane."

"Place had everything to welcome us in. Tea, coffee, biscuits, water, etc. Soft towels, good bed, excellent breakfast. I’d give it 5 stars but don’t want to raise expectations too much. For the price point, it’s excellent value. Better than most B&Bs in its class. Bathroom and TV were functional but small. If size of either is a big deal to you, be advised."

"The property is a lovely character building. The staff are all amazing down to the reception, spa and hospitality team nothing is too much trouble. The room was cleaned every day, the breakfast was continental and cooked I asked for porridge one morning which was creamy with fruit on the side. We did have drinks in the bar one evening but didn’t eat there. It was within walking distance to the town but we had our own transport. I would definitely stay there agin and can wholeheartedly recommend."
