Short Walk To Beach!! Located in the charming community that is Union Pier, welcome to Off The Beaten Path! This four bedroom, two and a half bath home is gorgeously appointed both inside and out and just a couple minute walk to McKinley beach. Lots of light in this modern charmer. Kick back and relax in the spacious family room or cozy up to the gas fireplace during those cool autumn evenings. The screened in porch has plenty of room for dining or just having that morning coffee and unwinding. Fully stocked kitchen has everything you need for your next meal which can be enjoyed both inside or outside. Island seating for three to four plus dining area for six to seven. Main floor also has a washer/dryer plus a half bathroom. Master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom.

The second floor has three bedrooms. Two bedrooms with queen beds and one bedroom with three twin beds. There is also a full bathroom on this floor too.

The outside features a wood burning firepit, perfect for roasting s'mores under the stars. Wash off the day's sand in your outdoor shower or cook your dinner with the charcoal grill. A short walk to sandy McKinley beach as well as downtown Union Pier.

All the amenities you would expect in a quality rental including internet, Roku TV, washer/dryer, central AC/heat, gas grill, outdoor firepit and shower, indoor gas fireplace, new hot tub and more.

We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful, sun-filled cottage. It is surprisingly spacious, yet cozy and inviting. The whole cottage feels fresh and the decor is calm and tasteful. The owners have clearly put a great deal of thought into all the details in order to make this a most enjoyable guest experience. We highly recommend this cottage and look forward to staying here again!

This house is beautiful and in a great location. Great for our family trip. Kitchen is well stocked with the necessities (except coffee). Only downside is the late 5pm checkin time.

Adorable home, close to the beach

The property was great, it had everything we needed, very clean and close to restaurants. It's also a short walk to the beach, which is beautiful. Blue Fish Vacations, Erika and Jason were great to work with and always responded to my emails right away. This was a great find.

Awesome house for long weekend with the family

This house was a perfect spot for a long weekend stay with grandparents, adult kids and grandkids. The house was beautiful and really clean. It has lots of nice hang spots for the family including an awesome screened-in porch. My favorite room was the adorable children's room perfect for my 3 grandsons. The house is also located very close to a beautiful Lake Michigan beach. Perfect getaway house for the family.

Cozy getaway weekend

We loved staying at this adorable property for our annual girls weekend! Fantastic location, just a short walk down to the water, and all the amenities you could need! We especially loved cozying up with the outdoor fire pit. Looking forward to future stays here!

Family Time

Perfect set up for a family of husbands and wives to come together and make memories! I wanted an open concept home that was clean and modern and each couple had their own bedrooms at night. We’d definitely refer this home to anyone wanting to travel to New Buffalo/Union Pier area!

Perfect for Book Club Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at "Off the Beaten Path." It was clean, comfortable, light & bright, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to make brunch (pots & pans, and little extras like S'mores ingredients). Walking distance to Lake Michigan, and close to lots of good restaurants and about 30 min to Tabor Hill and Round Barn Wineries. Our only suggestion is to update the photos of the bedrooms to reflect the current configuration of beds, but we made it work and really enjoyed our stay! We were there at the end of Sept with beautiful fall weather, and it would be awesome in the summer too. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend this property!

A beautiful gem in Union Pier

The place was bigger and more beautiful than the pictures. We enjoyed every corner of the place (the screened in porch, the fire pit, the bbq, the beautiful indoors, the board games, etc.) the location was great! The kitchen was pretty stocked with spices which was nice for cooking.. we had a great time!

Beautiful home, great location

We've stayed at many VRBO properties in Harbor Country over the decades, and this one was by far the nicest (also the most $$, but I guess that goes together). Beautifully appointed, a 7 minute walk to the beach or the little business district, great kitchen and AC. The collection of board games and puzzles came in handy for the gloomy or humid days.

Cute and clean

Perfect property and location for a Michigan getaway. Home was very clean, and was especially impressed with the cleanliness of screened in porch- no spider webs or debris of any sort :)
