"So, some people may remember the time when a budget motel was exactly that: A budget motel. A time when a clean bed and a hot shower was what you were paying for and not a bunch of crap like breakfast, in room coffee and numerous other amenities that are absolutely unnecessary and costs hotels a fortune which is passed on to all of us that still know how to travel smart and can find all of that on our own. Personally, I grow weary of paying 100$ a night for things I never use! Rice Hill Inn is bringing back those days when you could still afford to get a decent night's sleep without digging into money you'd rather spend on activities, etc. I stayed 4 nights at this establishment. Every day housekeeping checked my room, replaced the towels, changed the bedding and emptied the trash. Even some 4 star hotels require you to call the front desk if you don't want to reuse your towels and bedding. So, are the rooms a bit dated? Yes. But the room I had was clean and included a table, two chairs, a desk and chairs, a microwave and a fridge. It wasn't all brand new, but everything worked. The heat worked, the water pressure on the second floor was adequate, the toilet flushed and the drains drained. There was plenty of lighting, there were plenty of plugins, and the tv, though smaller than some worked fine and had hundreds of free channels. I'm sorry, but I find it shameful that I saw so many poor and unfair reviews. If you want to spend 100$ a night for a crappy breakf"

"Reserved room, stood outside for over 15 minutes - rang doorbell and called number that went straight to vm. Whoever came over the ring camera stated they don’t take reservations after 10pm. Nothing listed on website and confirmed booking and stated check in when I never checked in."

"Everything was very nicely setup. We had problem with drainage in our sink and shower, but our host allowed us to move down a room. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the lake is glorious at all times of the day."
