The Savudrija area was known by the ancient Romans as an ideal area for the treatment of lung diseases thanks to the numerous pine trees as well as clean air and sea. The apartment is located in the tiny village of Volparija near the center of Bašanija where you will find the bakery, restaurants, bars, post office, and small supermarket. In the area, you can admire the oldest lighthouse in the Adriatic known as the Savudrija lighthouse. Along the coast, there are several bars and restaurants by the sea where you can spend your summer evenings admiring the sea and the wonderful sunsets enjoying delicious wines or Mediterranean meals.In the center of Umag to visit the museum, the aquarium, the cathedral, a walk along the famous Umag Dam is recommended, to explore the narrow and interesting alleys of the old town, or visit the stalls and to the delight of children the playground on the waterfront. To buy a larger quantity of food it is better to walk a few kilometers to the largest and most convenient supermarkets such as Lidl, Spar, Kaufland or Plodine.
