"A fabulous farmhouse on an amazing property. Truly and authentically the real Australian outback. It felt like going back in time, and wildlife watching was awe inspiring. Kangaroos surrounded us as far as the eye could see. Gentle cows and sheep roamed the paddocks, We spent most of our time on the deck, soaking it all in, book in hand, quietly chatting. Evenings were spent around one of 3 dining tables, candles lit, board games out. The nights were cool, the days gradually warmed up, followed by a spectacular sunset and magnificent night skies. Hill End itself is fascinating and historic, the coffee at the grocer was great, the new micro pub absolutely fabulous. Mudgee, an hour away, was great for a day trip to pick up some local wine and cheese. All in all, it was a privilege to ring in the New Year in a place like this. Thanks Anna and Bob - we hope to be back again!"

"If you would like an off the grid break this property s a great stay. Waking up to look out the window to ducks Geese pigs goats Peacocks just some of your neighbors. I took a little adjustment to get used to the composting toilet in the Tiny house but was all part of the experience "

"Beautiful and clean property, generously appointed with everything you could need for a home away from home stay. We have given the maximum rating to most categories but pulled back a star because although our stay was for 4 days we only received one towel each. The agent said this was normal regardless of how many days were booked but did offer to drop another towel each , we made do with what we had. We rate this accomodation nine(9) out of ten. "

"Rustic but adequate for overnight stop. Enjoyed our fire outside and heater inside. Could have done with a sponge for washing up. Difficult to get water to stay in sink."

"House looked nice and modern when searching online. Nice inside but the cleanliness was a big let down. Showers with hair and and other body hair in them . Food crumbs and dirt over floor. Carpet in rooms not vacuumed properly. Crumbs and bits of rubbish in cutlery draw. Started packing car and notice car parked for a while wasn’t until we was near ready to leave we realised it was the cleaner waiting. Who made it known wish these…. F… hurry up I need to f clean. Outside was terrible and infant with us who could walk in the grass as it was dead and very hard , large cracks in ground from dryness. Outside big disappointment. Would not stay here again. Little improvement can make big difference. "
