「Everything was great! We never did manage to ride our bikes all the way up Vails Mill Rd., but was able to ride once we got closer to the top. Proximity to Creeper Trail was a bonus. The trip from Abingdon to Damascus is an awesome ride or just the ride to Alvarado Station and back is great. Ride in to town, look and shop and come back to the cabin and grill burgers. 「For some one that is in recovery from triple by pass there are no railings for the steps,I had to use my family to get up the stairs. 「My husband is disabled and we don't get to get out much this little cabin was just what we needed we sat outside on the porch early morning watching the dark turn into light the sound of the water trees whistling in the wind the Canadian geese were beautiful cabin was so clean and nicely kept and the host was prompt with everything we needed I definitely found our favorite place thanks for making our 29th anniversary a memorable trip 」

「Lovely peaceful setting on the river, quiet country setting. Access to surrounding towns was easy and I appreciated the list of businesses you provided. The views from the balconies were great as well. Managing the stairs with luggage was a bit challenging. Would be nice if owners could build out a bit of a landing zone at door height for luggage to sit on while you open the door. 「The best part for us was the quiet, privacy, and view that allowed us to relax. The cute cabin was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of linens and the kitchen was sufficiently stocked. The two porches had an amazing view. The walk down to the lake on the well-constructed stairs and landings to the dock was a hidden gem. We even caught some fish and would like to return again.」

「The mountain is so beautiful and removed from the chaos of city life. The drive up the mountain is a bit scary but as long as you follow the notes from Terry, it’s completely manageable for an SUV. I have a Jeep Wrangler and had no issues. It’s perfect for someone who just wants to get away. 」

「My stay was all I hoped it would be. Peaceful, good weather, quiet except for the occasional cow moo and the distant laughter of children playing across the river. 「House is beautiful and view of lake is exceptional. Lake still has wood floating around from the Hurricane. We had a lot of rain during our stay but was still able to spend time out on our boats. Only complaint is the house is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. Lots of dust and debris on floors and window seals. Would stay again if cleaned better. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we really enjoyed the beauty.. 」
