"A little gem just a little out of 'town' but since there's not much to town that doesnt matter. Clean, well appointed, hot tub and laundry facilities. The perfect spot for a mountain bike get away! Do it!"

"This is an old Best Western since taken over by new management. Few improvements but very clean and our room had a large newer Samsung TV with excellent service. Our tub/shower drained VERY slowly. This was brought up at check-out. "

"We gathered with our 2 sons and their families so those who wanted to could ski at Willamette Pass while the rest of us walked uptown to a fantastic coffee shop and played games and built jigsaw puzzles. We cooked all of our meals in the well-equipped beautiful kitchen. The beds are comfortable, and it is easy to gather around the large dining room table."

"Great spot! Right around the corner from good eats! Mane street cafe has excellent coffee. Three Legged Crane has cocktails and good food. Missed Bistro hours because we were there early in the week. We mountain biked and really enjoyed the views from the deck of the apartment. Would definitely come back!"

"The house is very clean and updated. The location is rural (no cell recepiton so I'd recommend you download the instructions on getting inside and the maps before you go). It is on the river but no access although we enjoyed the peaceful back deck. It would have been nice to have more than 2 chairs on the back deck. The owner was very responsive and has a nice welcome book with ideas of things to do and we would recommend this place if you stay in this area. "

Steamboat Inn

"Steamboat Inn is a lovely property on the Umpqua River. We stayed in a cabin room right on the river. It was spacious and the balcony a restful place to read and watch the river. The balcony is shared with others in cabin rooms but set up so that each room has its own chairs and space. Note that there is no TV and even our phone network did not work. The food at the on-site restaurant was absolutely fantastic. We stayed 3 nights and ate there every evening. The steelhead was done to perfection as were the daily specials. Plus, you can have dinner (lunch or breakfast) on the outside patio with the river nearby. The Inn is perfectly situated to see the waterfalls along the Umpqua highway, and it's an easy drive to Crater Lake. It's not fancy but has enormous character. Best place we've stayed in a long time. "

"Had a lovely time and the communication with the property owner was great. This home is a great central location for biking, hiking and activities at Dorena Lake while also being close to town. This has become one of our annual must do's each year."
