We had a beautiful traditional room with a little step out balcony right above the entrance. This hotel is in the middle of everything! Souvenir shops around you, boumbalini (fried dough for dessert), a sandwich place (basically one of the main shopping areas) but not loud AT ALL. Dar Zarrouk (really nice restaurant for dinner) is very close, we ate there every night. Also, dont forget to spend time on the terrace. I got up every morning for sunrise and each time I went up there, I had the whole thing to myself. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Sidi Bou Said! :)

The owner was a wonderful host, offering soup and recommendations about the area at check in. The property was wonderfully decorated and a gem of Sidi Bou Said.

Do not stay here.

Though my check-in was supposed to be at 1pm, I was only given my room at 2:30pm because the previous guest had been accorded a late check-out. I was offered a coffee and access to the non-functioning wifi while I waited in the lobby with my things until my room was ready. I them entered my room and not only was it just off the lobby and the main entrance, but there was a window between my room and the lobby (where there is constant smoking) that did not fully close - any other guest could have pushed it opened and entered, to say nothing of the cigarette smoke. The other side of my room was the street, which was incredibly loud as the room is right at street level. Plus, the wifi doesn't work, the place is not all that clean and the staff doesn't really seem to care. After seeing the room, I checked out immediately because I felt incredibly unsafe. Staff informed me this was the room I booked, even though the listing does not include these key details.

Buena ubicación, pero comedor desordenado y sucio, no había desayuno como decía, habitación con olor a humedad, baño con olor a mucha humedad y a gas. Terraza muy sucia y mal tenida. Una lástima para el lugar que pudo haber sido. Muy muy ruidoso por la noche, la vida nocturna debajo de la habitacion en la calle era mucha.

Dar El Fell is a gem of a hotel. Tucked away in the beautiful little town of Sidi Bou Said. It is also an art gallery, with amazing paitings from the very talented artist who owns the hotel.

Amazing view

I absolutely loved my stay here. It wa very quaint, the staff was very friendly and chill, and the view from the terrace was amazing. I would've stayed longer if they weren't already booked.

Un grand moment de solitude

Aprés un accueil rapide on me conduit a ma chambre, qui n'est pas celle que j'ai choisi et pour laquelle j'ai payé sur internet.on me donne la chambre Ambre au lieu de El Fell que j'avais reservée. Aprés m'avoir remis les clefs, celle de la chambre et de la porte d'entrée, on me precise "que ce n'est pas un hotel mais une maison d'hotes, et que je me debrouille". mais maison d'hotes implique "Hospitalité"ainsi qu'un minimum d'informations sur le fonctionement, peut on prendre son petit dejeuner sur place? peut on eventuellement aussi diner sur place? Je n'en sais rien, heureusement, il y a un café a proximité et une boutique ou l'on peut manger de trés bons beignets, j'y ai pris mes petits dejeuners pendant ces 3 jours. 3 jours qui m'ont parus bien longs, faisant contre mauvaise fortune bon coeur, la chambre Ambre avait un lecteur de DVD et une selection de films eclectiques et interessants, de quoi au moins occuper mes soirées, vraiment la derniere chose que je pensais faire, mais bon.... Au moment du depart , ayant besoin d'un renseignement pour ma prochaine etape, je demande à la nymphette aux cheveux rose halucinée en phase d'alunissage si il y a une possiblité de voir une carte pour evaluer une distance, on me repond d'aller m'en acheter une, la goutte d'eau qui fait deborder le vase!

Worst accommodation

This accommodation withe North America standard should be listed under hostel listing not under hotel listing. It is an old house not maintained or looked after very missy and not clean , no services , the bathroom very dirty with rusty pips and mould no shower cap , dirty sink , the floor looks like never washed , some of the beds are mattress on the floor. Not much of a breakfast served on inappropriate roof top , more of a junkyard . The girls at reception are very nice however the owner has no manners for customer services
