This was our second time staying with Vana at the location and we just love it! Secluded and calm with all the amenities one could think of and more all the while being right in Tryon!
Wonderful, unique place to stay. Bed is so comfortable, and the cottage is close to everything in downtown Tryon. Our second visit was as great as the first.
We throughly enjoyed our stay & Vana was an excellent host providing hiking and birding locations to explore. It is not often a cottage in the woods is so close to town that we were able to walk to restaurants and the Tryon Arts Center to see a show. We plan to be back.

Lovely and quiet location! The cottage was an adorable artiste’s studio built in the 1920’s. The only drawback was the walk downhill, but we were fine with this. The king size bed was very comfortable.
Exploring the area near the Tryon International Equestrian Center
Perfect place to stay while exploring Lake Lure and the area around the Tryon International Equestrian Center!
Clean, cozy, comfortable cottage, close to town, but removed just enough to provide to provide privacy and relaxation.
Beds were very comfortable, kitchen and bath were well appointed. We had a great stay and would definitely visit again!
My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here - just enough for our needs for an overnight stay in a comfortable place where we could spread out just a little. Everything was clean and exactly as advertised. Our host Vana was super helpful guiding us the whole way and providing everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.
The cottage is so well appointed and easy to operate inside - the hosts thought of everything anyone might need. We loved the historic nature of the place and Vana was the most gracious host as well as her husband who kindly helped us with our bags. The location is wonderful, so close to town you could walk! We can't wait to go back!
This little guest house is full of charm, originally built as an art studio for the original owner of the main house. The host does a wonderful job of having everything you might need there. The house is well appointed. She is exceptionally friendly and is right there if you have any problems. Highly recommend
This cottage was absolutely perfect! From its cool history to the nicest host on the planet, we loved our stay. The cottage has so much character. The photos on VRBO do not do it justice. The setting was gorgeous and the lighting bugs put on quite a show for us! We ordered takeout and sat outside the cottage for dinner. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept so well. We highly recommend and will hopefully be back!
Great communications, easy check in, thoughtful little snacks, very clean, and deer grazing is what you can expect here. We would stay again says it all!
Property very clean and tidy. We had 2 adults that fit nicely in the space. The host was exceptional, very available and welcoming. Front steps may be a challenge for folks with balance problems, as walkway to front door entails a long set of stairs. Peaceful property. Great weekend getaway!
We try to book Vana's cottage whenever we're in the area. Beautifully furnished with full kitchen and VERY comfortable king bed along with convenient location. Highly recommended.
