Tahoe Donner Condo, Ski-In Ski-Out, Cozy Mountain Retreat

Welcome to our cozy mountain condo located slopeside in Tahoe Donner neighborhood of Truckee. Great views of the lifts right from comfort of the living room.

This charming 1 bedroom, 1 bath loft condo features a comfortable queen bed and twin loft beds on the second story for sleeping. Guests can relax in the open concept living room, lounge upstairs in sitting area or access fresh air on the small porch. It's a light-filled space with modern decor and a large picture window that offers a view of the mountain. Ideal for friends, couples or small families looking for convenient access to Tahoe Donner ski mountain or a home base to explore the beauty of the surrounding Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe region. We are a privately owned condo (not run by a rental agency) so be assured 1 x 1 owner attention during your stay with us. We use our condo consistently so it stays in tip-top shape and we strive to be available to answer any questions you have during your stay.

Other features: Small remodeled kitchen with 2 burner stovetop, full refrigerator/freezer and small convection/microwave oven for basic heating and cooking needs. Bathroom features a standing shower and single sink and toilet. Unit is stocked with comforts of home: Linens, towels, hair dryer, ironing board, baby gate, space heaters/fans and kitchen necessities for a small meal prep. Shared laundry machines available in the lodge, cost per load. Single elevator and stairways in the building provide access to our 2nd floor unit that sits at the end of a hallway.

BOOKING REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum stay is 2 nights. Maximum is 10 nights.
• Must be 25 years old to book with required identification
• Accommodation Limits: 4 Adults OR 2 adults and up to 3 children under 17 years old.
• No smoking/vaping or pets allowed per HOA.
• Happy to answer any questions about costs prior to booking. Just ask.

• Private recreation facilities and beach club available on rentals over 3 nights. Please note: There is black out dates for short term renters-please inquire for information) With daily access fee per person, the Donner Lake Beach club offers kayak, sailboat, pedal boat, windsurfer, and stand-up paddle rentals in the summer. Recreation Center includes lap and recreation pools and hot tubs, sauna, gym, weight lifting and classes.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING.

• Accessibility: Condo is on second floor of a lodge (elevator accessible) Metal spiral staircase within condo accesses sleeping upstairs (see pictures) Guest should be comfortable climbing up and down spiral stairs. We have a baby gate for safety and children should be monitored going up and down but its very sturdy and our children did fine from a small age.
• Parking is uncovered in a convenient paved lot in front of building. Permit required. One permit available for single car.
• Kitchen is intended for simple meals with a table and seating for 4, but not convenient for large family meals as there is NO DISHWASHER OR FULL SIZE OVEN.
• Tahoe Donner Lodge sits at elevation and is hilly. 4WD recommended or chains at minimum in the winter. Suggest small shovel for accessing car in big storms. Lodge has regular snow removal and parking lots do get plowed consistently but can be delayed in large storms.
• There is no traditional air conditioning in this unit. We have small portable AC that cools the condo to a degree and fans. Ask for more details if this is a late summer rental. It can get HOT and should be considered.
• All amenities except the downhill ski area are not within walking distance and will require a vehicle to drive there.
• Unit has shared wifi with the lodge and can slow down at peak times. Not probably the best unit to rent if you need reliable work-from-home communication at all times.
There is no tub or fireplace.
