Amazing house and great location! 10-15 min drive to Sugar Bowl which was very convenient! Close to Truckee for groceries, restaurants, etc. House was clean and very comfortable.

Comfy Stay in a Storm

This property was just as described, and it was warm and cozy during the storm. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, which made cooking a treat.

Donner house

We had a great time! Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of space and loved the loft room. Only thing was front entry was plowed over due to snow so we could only use kitchen entrance, not ideal with wet boots.

Great home for large families with kids

My family and extended family enjoyed our stay. The home was spacious for the 10 of us and was quite cozy and warm despite the temperatures hitting 5-degrees in the February evening. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking wares and the loft was great for the kids to play games. The backyard also opened up into the woods to a creek-bed which made for a great small sledding hill for our 5YO. The house is also a 15-min walk to West End Beach which was fun to play, even in snow! Only complaint was that the mattresses were a little stiff for my >70YO mother and father, but didn't seem to faze the younger folks.

Great Stay

This was a beautiful cabin - lots of room and everything you need. Well equipped - great location and very cute decor. My family loved it. If I had any criticism it would be to have some beach towels - otherwise everything was great.

Great rental with amenities listed but not available

This house is great rental to visit! A few things that were advertised in the listing but not available which was super disappointing. 1. No fire-pit or outside seating!!Other than cheap folding chairs, this was the biggest disappointment as we chose this location based on the fire-pit and outside seating as one of the primary amenities 2. All the faucets and showers ran super cold or scolding hot; they need to change out the cartridges 3. Please upgrade your coffee pot to the kcup machine, the coffee maker was a pain with all the beeping 4. All the beds were not clean, the sheets smelled, did not looks clean, and one bed even had cough drop wrappers and some of us were bitten while sleeping (bed bugs?) 5. The microwave was old and loud 6. The listing on VRBO stated tandem garage parking but owner has a golf cart stored in the garage which allows for only one vehicle to park in garage. (Why even list it?) 7. Couch seating downstairs was for 5 people and this house is able to sleep 10 people, maybe add another love seat to allow all 10 people to seat around fire place 8. The towels were worn and threadbare. More towels in each bathroom for those that were staying longer Things that were great: 1. The fridge was awesome in size, we brought lots of food and it stored it all. 2. The ice makers kept up with us during our entire stay!! 3. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans 4. Bathrooms were clean 5. Dining room seating was ample 6. Kitchen was large and allowed lots of people to be in it at one time 7. Oven worked like a champ! 8. The fireplace was awesome!

A legitimate 5 star property!

Finally! A home on VRBO rated 5 stars that actually is 5 stars. This place is really fantastic. Very well maintained, clean and a great location on the west end of Donner Lake. I have been ready to throw in the towel on VRBO lately as I have been suckered into renting these places that have nothing but (multiple) 5 star ratings but couldn’t hold a candle to an actual 5 star property. I didn’t realize how pressured renters are to leave 5 star reviews until my last review of a beach house I rented a few weeks ago. I gave it 4 stars overall (which was generous) and the manager followed up with a super rude email criticizing my review. Anyway, you can’t go wrong with this property! Everything about it is perfect. Thank you Tahoe Signature Properties! Excellent job managing this place.

Easy weekend!

The house was very clean and roomy. Big kitchen made it easy to do group cooking. We enjoyed the wine fridges and fireplace! We were disappointed to find the patio furniture had been removed since it was such nice weather. But overall we had a great time!
