「We were in Austria but the rains closed all the trains. We decided to go to the Interlaken area. Hotel Alpenrose was the only hotel that wasn’t double our budget. It is really more of a cozy bed and breakfast than a hotel. It was a little bit out of the way but the trains are so easy in Switzerland than it wasn’t an issue. The ride back gave us time to get caught on emails and send pictures and texts friends and family. We would stay there again. 」
「This hotel was absolutely wonderful and made our trip to Engleberg so worth the detour we took to go there. The staff was excellent with the most note worthy service being provided by Freya and Lazio. We stayed in the Epoque room which was one of the loveliest beautifully appointed rooms with rounded windows but modern Scandinavian style furniture and a gorgeous up to date bathroom! And the bed was extremely comfortable. We had an outstanding experience and highly recommend this property. 」
「The breakfast/lunch to go package was very nice for the price. Very handy to take on our trips our for the day. In the kitchen area they need to label more of the drawers and cabinets. Had to literally open every one to find the garbage. Label in multiple languages. 」
「Gorgeous location for the hotel, and clean rooms. Rustic vibe. Extremely pretty view from the windows and good breakfast. Be warned it is a little difficult to carry luggage manually up the steep slope to the hotel. Taxi to help carry everything costs 16 CHF from the station to the hotel.」
「Historisches Hotel in der Fussgängerzone. Die Atmosphäre ist Alpin mit traditionellem Alpen-Flair. Sehr freundliches Management und Personal und sehr gute Restaurant. Die Zimmer sind nicht gross aber bieten guten mittelklasse Komfort, einige mit Balkon (gegen Aufpreis).」
「Das Zimmer mit Sauna war ein Traum und die wunderschöne Atmosphäre haben unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns das überaus zuvorkommende Personal, das jeden unserer Wünsche erfüllt hat – egal, wie klein oder gross. Hier wird Gastfreundschaft auf höchstem Niveau gelebt. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können dieses Hotel wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Eines steht fest: Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!」
