"We were 2 adults and 7 children. This property was just perfect. In the 30 degree heat when we arrived, the house was cool. It is well spaced out and just worked well. The seperate games room is just outside the house but enclosured within a court yard, which became the hub of our time whilst there. Moving away from the house was a large firepit with seating which we used a few times and a large field with a pond where you could sit, relax and watch the wildlife in quiet. The house was well stocked and prepared, and the owners friendly and helpful (even gaves some of our boys a ride on the tractor). Definitely hope to go back."
"Off to a bad start due to the, otherwise very pleasant, owner pouncing on us as we arrived following a day of travel. We really just wanted to be left alone to arrive and unpack. Not the right time to attempt to convey information and instructions as we unpacked from the car.
Nicely situated geographically with a lovely view of the sea from the front facing windows (the only windows unfortunately) and front door. Unfortunately, a public footpath goes straight past your only windows and front door (and you need to keep the door open in warm weather) which meant no privacy and difficulties with dogs (ours and other dogs, one poorly controlled dog came straight in through the front door on one occasion).
Gardens were lovely and well maintained but the cottage was damp smelling with visible mould and all the cupboards smelt of damp.
The 'private' beach which is advertised as being accessible via a steep path is unacceptable as a serious injury could easily be sustained trying to access this beach as the path gives way to steep rocky drops which are incredibly dangerous.
In summary, geographically advantageous cottage with all amenities but lacking in key areas as detailed."
