This intimate, family-owned inn has only two rooms, allowing you to truly get to know the wonderful family behind it. Breakfast was lovingly prepared by the lovely older lady who owns the inn—it was delicious, comforting, and felt like a home-cooked meal. Our only complaint is that we wish we had planned to stay longer! It was easily one of our best stays during our three weeks in Japan. Highly recommend!
Very well maintained and nice stay. The family running the place is very kind, and provided us welcome tea and cookie upon checking in! The private open air onsen in the room we booked was amazing, at just the right temperature and automatically running and refilling. The location is perfect walking distance and in a central location to many of the public onsens and shops. Highly recommend!!
We chose this property because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, and if anything, Kojinmari exceeded expectations. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back again without hesitation.
The room was a work of art--beautiful and immaculately clean, and we really enjoyed the half outdoor shower and private bath. The location was also ideal. We had great view from our balcony and could easily walk to everything in Kinosaki.
Perhaps most memorable were the hosts. They prepared incredible food for us (honestly some of the best we had anywhere during our two-week Japan trip) and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. They also provided everything we needed to visit the onsens in town and always greeted us with a smile.
Book this property - you won't regret it!
The family staff here are excellent hosts. They are very friendly and helpful. They showed us everything about the room and helped us with our first experience with the onsens. The breakfast was the best breakfast we’ve had in Japan. Absolutely loved this place
Adorable little inn close to everything in Kinosaki. Owners were so helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. We would absolutely stay here again.
This was such a wonderful stay. The staff are amazing and very friendly, made me feel like I was right at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. I hope I get to visit again someday.
Absolutely wonderful place! The service, the decor, the amenities and the design, the delicious hearty Japanese breakfasts, the central location - everything was perfect here. And the hospitality was incredibly warm and generous. HIGHLY recommend this ryokan to anyone visiting Kinosaki Onsen.
We loved our stay at your ryokan! The main suite made us feel relaxed and the private onsen made it even more enjoyable! So happy we made the trip here!

Was a fantastic stay. The staff were so kind and courteous. Always greeting us ane wishing us to come back safely. I wish i spoke Japanese more that way i could express my gratitude better.
I stayed here for a night and absolutely loved the stay. The hotel was spacious and had a private outdoor heated bath. The owners helped me with reserving dinner with a local restaurant that was really good. I highly recommend anyone coming to kinosaki stay with here.
This was our favorite place to stay on our whole trip in Japan. The breakfast was delicious and the whole family is kind. The room is spacious, quiet, clean, and well-designed. They also have great local Japanese products in their shop! We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a lovely time at Kojinmari. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. The room was spacious and had a great view. The traditional Japanese breakfast was absolutely delicious. We would love to come back and stay at Kojinmari again in the future.
Amazing stay - hosts were so kind, we were given delicious tea upon arrival and the host was so helpful. Lots of information was given to us about the town and they booked dinner for us at a recommended local restaurant which was also lovely. The room was beautiful, all the furniture had been chosen carefully and thoughtfully. Overall amazing stay and one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Japan.
This is a beautiful property, and we wished we could have stayed longer, much longer. Our room was a piece of art. The owners were kind and gracious. We will surely return!!
This was such a greay stay. It seemed family owned and the room was massive for Japan! So very clean, incredibly friendly, cutest yukata, and one of my favorite stays of many nights during my Japan trip. Can't recommend this one enough.
Town is small and walkable so location doesn’t matter but this was right on the main waterway with a great view of the little town. Room and accommodation was clean and quiet. Everyone was super friendly and provided a ton of information on where to eat and which onsens were their faves. They were on the money with their recs.
Will def stay here again if I ever find myself back in the town!
A wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, staff were so friendly and helpful. Great location for train access and walking around the town. Very enjoyable. Thankyou
Kinosaki Kojinmari is magic! Stayed for only 1 night and wish I could have stayed much longer. The staff are a family (mother, son, and daughter), who are kind, easygoing, informative, and helpful. Kojinmari was extremely clean with wonderful amenities. I felt extremely well taken care of, which really made me love my stay in Kinosaki. Next time I come to Kinosaki I will definitely be staying at Kojinmari again! 12/10 stars!
We did not believe it was possible for there to be an accomodation that was even more comfortable than our own home, but we found it at Kojinmari. The owners have considered every aspect to create a high quality, comfortable experience for their guests. Every surface and linen was impeccably clean, even the fragrance of the room was very nice, along with the comfortable beds, pillows and chairs. This along with the unmeasurable kindness and politeness that the staff showed us has proven that Kojinmari is our favourite stay and experience in Japan. We promise to return whenever we can.
Kojinmari was the most beautiful hotel we stayed at in Japan. Very friendly staff, in a great location as it was only a 5min walk from the train station and 13min walk to the furthest onsen.
The main issue was that the room had the worst mattresses we've had in Japan—even too firm for my partner, who loves firm mattresses. So we woke up in pain and needed the onsen to help relieve the pain. Also, there are no blackout curtains, and you can hear any noises from the street very easily.
