As an advantage of being close to the village, everything is within walking distance: shops, restaurants, the lake, etc. The Gîte Les Echaunes takes its name from the old neighborhood where Marie-Célie's parents lived; their family originated from the Drôme region. The names of the rooms have also been carefully chosen: "Souleilla" and "Canal du Midi" (an exceptional creation by Pierre-Paul Riquet, linking the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea), which is 20 km from the gîte. Revel-Lac-Saint-Ferréol is 23 km away: a designated "Grand Site Occitanie," a swimming lake, and a City of Art; and Carcassonne is 78 km away. The gîte is on two levels with a 300 m² unfenced garden and ample parking: - Ground floor: entrance hall - separate WC - fitted kitchen - living/dining room. - First floor: "Souleilla" bedroom (1 double bed 160x200cm and 2 single beds 90x190cm, on a mezzanine; please note the steep and narrow staircase, suitable only for independent children and agile adults) and "Canal du Midi" bedroom (1 double bed 140x190cm), each with its own shower room and toilet.
