"We enjoyed our weekend at Carines cabin! The cabin and outhouse were very clean and honestly had everything you needed. It was quiet and relaxing. Listening to the river while hanging out or falling asleep was very nice. We went down to the river a few times but it is quite steep though manageable! Even though the main house is near by, we were very comfortable and had tons of privacy! I’d definitely recommend! Activity wise, Brooks falls is very close and a lovely little hike! Clear lake was also close by and very nice. For anyone wanting a minimalist little get away to unwind, I ’d totally recommend!!"

"Lovely experience, the house is right on the lake with a huge backyard. Excellent value for the price, Rooms are well positioned so noise doesn't travel much, fully stacked kitchen, nice beds, amazing hot tub, and the grocery being 5 minutes away means you can walk there without a car. There is a train that passes by that is a bit loud, but we only had two pass the whole weekend and it lasts about 2-3 minutes. Would happily stay again!"

"Wonderful home for a week or 2. Our Adult Sons daughter in-law and us Grandparents all stayed here together. Also with our sons dogs. This house was excellent for us.. we could have campfires. Play with our grandchildren. Play air hockey, ping-pong or pool table games. If it was raining outside. We got great exercise running out to the dock to sit and watch the boats or go for a jump off the docks. Or just down the road about 3-4 driveways is the park and nice beach for kids to meet other children and climbing equipment. We had a wonderful time."

"Even with the detailed driving instructions, the property is a little hard to find. But once you are there the property is beautiful. Completely remodeled inside, with a great view overlooking the river. Clean and comfortable. Easy walking or driving distance to everything in the area."

"We had a great stay at John’s Wolfe Lake cottage. The cottage was clean, lots of comfortable sleeping, tons of hang-out spots inside and outside the cottage, and well-equipped with some fun entertainment options for the family. The croquet set, horseshoes, and record player were family faves. Personally, I really enjoyed using the stand up paddle board and relaxing on the lounge chairs on the platform facing the lake. The water off the dock is shallow and stays shallow for a long time, which allowed for some great long swims too!"

"Our second year at this home and we had a wonderful time. The new dock was great - we were able to put kayaks and boards into the river safely and spent many hours of fun on the water. The location works very well for us to visit friends and family in the area. We also found Richard Thomas Memorial Park - a beautiful little park and swimming spot. We stayed August 1 - 8."
