Its location right next to Sunrise Kamata market, Tokyu Plaza, and Kamata station was very convenient. Staff were friendly, service was good and the room was clean and comfortable. The TV was fun. It was a great stay for two people. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
This place was old Nishitetsu Inn and I hoped the rooms were renewed when APA took over this facility. It shows the age and might need to renew some of the rooms. Staff are always nice at any APA Hotels I stayed in the past and this place is the same nice staff.
Friendly and accommodating staff. We accidentally booked a smoking room and they switched it right away. They also held into our bags before the check in time that afternoon. Our flight had arrived at 4 AM so that was very helpful.
APA is a popular Japanese hotel, for domestic travelers. It is affordable, but small. Rooms are about 10 Sq Meters and bad is set against walls to allow walking space. It does come with a small desk and full soaking tub. Service is Japanese style. Upon demand cleaning with no linen change but fresh towels hung on door with small accoutrements daily. Still, overall comfortable and clean in city center and close to rapid transit.
There are clean sanitary and bathroom. It is enough to relax at night. No worry for security. The room is automatically locked and the elevator also need room keys to move. You can check out everytime quickly that you just put the key into the machine beside the gate.
There is no service of food. Most of restaurants around the hotel are pubs or fast food shops. You can go to the downtown in Tokyo soon when you take a train.
This hotel is very comfortable for single men. You can watch the free programs what you need at a lonely night on the TV in the room.
I usually like to stay in APA hotel and usually recommend the hotels to my friends and coworkers as a clean and comfortable place to stay and quite affordable. Some issues that I experienced is when I entered the hotel I thought the couple at the hotel was waiting to check in but I didn’t get noticed nor welcomed until minutes later. I couldn’t check in early but since they had a baggage storage service it was convenient but the surrounding neighborhood had nothing really to do for 2 hours. My biggest problem was the coin laundry. I was hoping to do laundry but it was quite popular having only two washers in the hotel. I had to go back and forth from my room several times to check if it was available but sadly since it was raining I guess everyone needed to wash. That in itself isn’t the problem but I wish there could be some sort of notification or the reception can provide information that it had come available but when I asked them they said they couldn’t check and let me know even though it’s right next to them. There were two receptionists and there were no guests waiting to be attended, they were just talking to each other so I wish one could let me know. I know it’s not a part of their job but having to go back and forth with no reservation time was quite tiring which I just wanted to share my experience. I love the hotels and the service but I just wanted to comment not complain. Thank you
This particular APA hotel apparently has floorplans that are somewhat different from the other APA hotels I've stayed at; about half the square-footage is dedicated to the bathroom, which it turns out is a pretty nice move. The shower was "traditional Japanese style" (and was next to the bathtub). The washlet on the toilet had those extra features that I dream of (dryer, push-button flush). On the down-side, the TV in the room surely had an HDMI input but I couldn't find it, so I couldn't plug in my Switch. Also, the AC took a while to get cold (~30min), although it wound up being quite pleasant.

Disliked: Cleanliness
After checking in, I left my smartphone on the sheets next to my pillow then took a shower, and when I went to sleep and lay down on the bed, I picked up my smartphone to set an alarm and was shocked to see a lot of fine white dandruff-like things on the screen and back. I jumped up in a panic and wiped the surface of the sheets with a towel, but I didn't feel like sleep in bed, so I had a physically and mentally tough night. I'm sure that it was my first night, so clean bed sheets should be provided. I will never use this facility again.
