A lovely view and a calf workout

This property is exactly as described. The entire stay was worry free with good parking, comfortable beds, and the lovely surprise of a bidet and a heat lamp in the bathroom. If you do get the 3rd floor, be prepared for a climb, it can be taxing if you take multiple trips. Not for the weak of knees.We were looking for a place close to the beach but not too expensive. The place is perfect for a couple or a group of 4, I wouldn't suggest more than 5 people stay at a time. Open up the windows and you'll regulate the temperature and bring in fresh air for the whole familyReally the only missing amenities were dish soap and scrub brushes. The kitchen has everything you need to make your fresh meals and there's plenty of fridge space. The front left stove burner doesn't quite work as well as the others but that is minor Overall exactly what we wanted to see from the coast. We loved our stay and would consider booking in the future

Location! Location!

The proximity of this location to “all things Oregon Coast” is ideal - and affordable! It is a comfortable space with attention to detail and is family-friendly. Whether you want to pop up the road for fresh oysters or pick up some flake sea salt, or you want to see the Octopus Tree and the lighthouse, or do a gentle hike to the Pacific at Short Beach, Oceanside (go through the rock formation!), and/or Netarts, you have found your spot. Roseanna’s Cafe is a must for the oysters and dessert. And the agate treasures are a joy @oceanside. I loved my retreat!

Exactly what we needed

We came into town to fish for several days. We went on an ocean charter, fished cape meares lake for bass and trout, and fished the Wilson river for Salmon. All within a short distance from this property. There were a couple rainy days and a couple beautiful days. For both we needed a quiet, warm, comfortable place to sleep. This property fit the bill. We will reserve again in the future.

Oceanside

The house sits on the back side of Oceanside so you'll need to drive to get to the beach, but there is a lot of public parking. The place was cleaned, but it is definitely on the older side of things. It worked for us, but I would probably try and get closer to the beach/town next time. It met my general expectations in regards to the description and price.

it's a good spot, needs a little bit more cleaning

My understanding is that this property has recently become a short term vacation rental. It's not overwhelming but there are strong cat smells that are apparent when you first enter the unit and that rise up and waft a bit when you open cupboard doors. It could use a few additional floor lamps, some additional kitchen items. Otherwise the place was clean, the record player and records were fun and the light and setting in the trees is nice. The walk to the beach is along the main road but it's not too too busy. I don't think I would stay here again in the near term but in a year if I saw that the reviews were favorable I might consider it again. Thank you for having us as your guests and best of luck with the unit.

Cute, Cozy, Smelly

Very cute little spot. Quite cozy! Unfortunately the smell of pet urine was overwhelming! I was prepared for some signs of pets as it does state the property is pet friendly, however the smell was much more than friendly. All the furniture in the main room show significant signs of being used as scratching posts, and the couch and main space smelled strongly of pet urine. On the upside, the record collection was fantastic!

Perfect mix of forest and ocean

Such an amazing place. It is so simple, clean and a very nice location. At night you watch the fog roll in off the coast then when its dark outside, you can see all of the stars out. During the day its literally a 5 minute walk to the beach. But before you go, sit on the deck and watch the fog clear away in peace and quiet. Would recommend to everybody. Thank you for letting me stay in your beautiful home.

Basic and affordable

We needed a place to stay in very short time and found this one reasonably priced. Being on the third floor was a climb for the older couple we were with. But definitely a quiet and restful place in the woods, close to the beach.

Lovely coastal getaway home

This little condo in the trees felt like home away from home. My two teenage daughters and I stayed here two nights and had everything we needed and more (including wifi and Netflix) The place is very clean and has comfortable beds. We had a great time winding our way through the neighborhood to get to the beach. The local beach is so beautiful and the tunnel is so cool! We collected agates there. Cape Meares is so close and we saw whales from the lookout! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Maybe I missed it in the description. But I thought there was a view of the ocean and I didn't realize it was 3 flights up. It worked well for us but was a surprise prize that might not work for others.

Perfect family getaway

I stayed here with my kid, our friend and their kid. The two little ones shared the big bed and my friend and I shared the kids room. While the smaller beds weren’t made for full sized adults, it worked for us! Would definitely stay here again 😊

Cozy wooded retreat

This was the perfect getaway to a special part of the Oregon coast. I love that it both feels tucked away in the trees and is also very close to the town and beach. Comfy, clean, quiet, and it had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway.

Good location

This place is not too far from the beach, only a minute drive. The parking spot for the place is down the hill a little. It can be a long way to take your luggage from the parking to the 3rd floor of the building. The apartment was clean. In the bathroom there is a clear window with a clear show curtain in front of the window. If someone is outside, they could you showering. If you turn on the shower and let it warm up, it will fog up the window and then no one can see you. I don't know why they don't put a non-clear shower curtain over it instead. The audio for the TV had some problems. We had to unplug it a couple times to get it to work.

Great location and space

Overall the space and location was a good value. The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed to cook. There were four of us who stayed and we all needed separate spaces to sleep. The space was advertised as having three beds, so we knew one person would be on the floor. We were glad that there was plenty of floor space for an air mattress in both the living room area and the bedroom with the queen bed. But regarding the third bed that was listed as existing in the rental - it was a slide-out-from-under-the-twin-bed type of third bed. The mattress was on a rough unfinished prince of plywood with quite rough and sharp edges. The adult using that bed hurt themselves a couple times maneuvering that rolling plywood. Nothing major, but enough to remember and also comment about the danger of it. Regarding the listed and described third parking space, that was incorrect. The spot located near the driveway entrance was taken by a long term resident of the building (there are a total of three units and the Vacasa rental is on the third floor) so initially there were only two available parking spots, not the three that was advertised. We made it work by pulling in far enough in the two-car available spots and squeezing our third vehicle in. We also could not get the gas fireplace to work. One more comment - this is not a beach view property. Maybe with significant trimming of the nearby trees it would be, but as-is the rental should not be billed as having an ocean view. We would stay here again as the location and price were pretty good. If you don’t like stairs or hills this is not the place for you - it’s uphill from the car parking and then three flights up, in addition to being about 0.2 miles up the main road from the beach.

Rest and Relax

This cozy apartment, walking distance was just what my family and I needed! The place was nice and clean and very comfortable. It was magical to wake up and stare at the forest and then be at the beach a few minutes later. We will be back!
