"Clean room, decent parking, nice staff and beautiful view."
Hilton Vacation Club The Historic Powhatan Williamsburg
10/10 Excellent
"Great place, just be aware of the “welcome pack” at the back of check in, which is a hard sell to try and get you to go to a time share presentation :("
Surfbreak Virginia Beach Oceanfront, an Ascend Collection Hotel

"Loved sitting out on the balcony and watching the waves. The pool was also nice and being able to sit on a lounge chair really made it a relaxing getaway!🙂"
Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront South
10/10 Excellent
"The rooms were clean, and the location was excellent—right on the beach! Our oceanfront room was amazing. We loved the balcony, and the beach and ocean views were absolutely beautiful. The area is very busy, but there are plenty of restaurants and food options within walking distance, along with lots of gift shops. You can also rent bikes to ride along the beach, which was a lot of fun. There were even fireworks on some nights, which was a nice bonus. There’s a Walgreens nearby if you need anything, and it’s also just a short drive to other stores and restaurants. At first, the staff didn’t seem very friendly, but once we spoke with them, they were polite and helpful. The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast, and the staff did a great job keeping everything stocked and refilling the stations. It does get crowded closer to the 10:00 AM closing time, so I recommend going earlier to avoid the crowds. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying here again!"
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Virginia Beach
8/10 Good
"Check in experience was easy and quick, room was very clean and spacious. Only complain is shower had a weird stain going on but besides that the room was spotless. Even got a free late checkout, would definitely stay again!"
Delta Hotels by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront Suites
10/10 Excellent
"Second year in a row visiting and the hotel is everything you should expect from a family-friendly resort environment. Despite being directly on the beach, the common areas stay clean and dry throughout the day and night. The staff is exceptionally courteous... they say hello, hold the elevator for you and say thank you when you reciprocate. Bar and restaurant are well maintained, but not exactly the party environment, though the new poolside daiquiri stand stayed busy. Both he rooms we experienced were spacious, however the ocean view balcony is the best part. We will be back next year."
Comfort Suites Chesapeake - Norfolk

"Very clean, quiet and peaceful. Very welcoming"
Marjac Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed in room 712 and want to start by praising the staff. The service from the employees is excellent—a true 10 out of 10. In particular, the person working the front desk was doing an amazing job taking care of all the guests checking in at that peak time. However, management urgently needs to hire more staff. Leaving just one person at the front desk during check-in hours causes long wait times, and people understandably lose their patience.Similarly, the housekeeping staff are incredibly kind and always do their absolute best with a smile. The real problem is that the company leaves them short-staffed, which directly affects the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were not properly cleaned: the beds, mattresses, and sofa bed have severe stains (including urine stains), the TVs are dusty, the fridge is dirty, the towels are soiled, and the shower curtain has mold. The kitchen was the worst part, as it still had leftover food from previous guests. The sofa bed looks so worn out and dirty that it looks like it was pulled out of the trash. I do not blame the cleaning staff at all; I blame the company for not hiring enough people to maintain the property. We stayed here 3 years ago, and compared to this year, the hotel's condition has deteriorated drastically. If they do not invest in proper upkeep right away, this place will be completely run down in a few years. It is deeply disappointing because this hotel has.amazing potential to attract tourists."
