Never again

I have stayed at this motel before and it was an acceptable place to sleep but this time I was in a smoking room that was next to the room I had stayed in before but it could have been a different building altogether. The carpet was badly stained, the comforter had burn marks on it, and the shower looked like it needed a serious power washing. I don't know if it the last room to be fixed up but I think that I would rather sleep in my car than sleep in this motel again.

Cheap but clean.

It was clean and quiet. It is not that great looking but the price was right. I don't think it is in the best part of town.

If you are late, you will be harassed.

We were late due to a plane delay. The owner decided to blow up my phone to find out when I would be checking in. With my plane on airplane mode, the calls were not getting through. Imagine my surprise when I switched my phone from airplane mode back to live, only to find a bunch of hang-up messages on my voicemail. But... before I could even check them, my phone rang and the owner was on the line. "Hello! You have a booking for the motel, but I don't see you! Will you be here or what?" Umm... I have travelled many times over the past eight years, staying in a large variety of hotels. This is the first time that I have experienced this sort of inquisition. I assured him that I would be there when I could get there, and he hung up in my ear. Pleasant man. Upon arrival to the motel, the owner let his disdain for me being late with his actions and demeaning nature. I explained that the planes were delayed due to technical difficulties, but somehow that did not help his attitude. Oh well. It was nearly 12:00am and I had my young son with me. We just wanted to sleep. We got into the room, and were astounded because cigarette smoke was all but billowing around, and both my son and I started to cough due to this. I went back to the office to change rooms. The owner flipped when I asked him if I could have a room that did not smell of cigarette smoke. He refunded my money, and my son and I slept in the car in a massive thunder storm. Do not stay here.

Smoke in the room of non smokers

our experience was wonderful, except the ash tray was right outside our room! we were in a non smoking room! people would stand outside our room and smoke, the smoke came under the door UG! the lady that checked us in was wonderful, the beds super comfortable, not noisy,

Hotel in Thunder Bay!

The rooms were very small and smelled like old smoke. The rug/flooring was disgusting. No air conditioning! Owners were not very accommodating when we complained about the smell.

Horrible place, worse part of Thunder Bay

Nothing was good about this dump. I would rather sleep in my truck on a busy freeway. Everything was lousy and was way too expensive to stay in a dump

beggars can't be choosers

thunder bay lacks hotels. therefore not booking ahead led us to a motel. although Not my first choice the staff was more than accommodating moving us to a family suite. shower was hot and well pressured. beds hard. secure quiet building .

Needs updating

Very old hotel that needs updating. Carpets were badly stained. No hairdryer or coffee pot.

Right in front of the Cn main yards. Very noisey

The room was dirty uncomfortable doors did not close mold in the bathroom and plumbing that was miss installed holes in the wall

comfortable for a short time

Event tho we weren't there long ( got in very late and left early) we were comfortable and it met our needs. The setting was outdated but clean.

owner is awful

booked a room and the owner gave it to someone else. gave me a room which is not what I booked and would not even give a discount. even threatened to not let me stay even though it was their mistake.... awful place
