National Cycle Route 13 This is National Cycle Route 13 as it passes through Aveley / Rainham Marshes. Until earlier this year this square was inaccessible to the general public as it was partly on the Purfleet Ranges and the landfill site that is the hill in the back ground of the photo. Cycle Route 13 when finished will be able to take you to Fakenham in Norfolk or heading in the direction of the photo Hackney.
Ford Place This is Ford Place it is the only non-ecclesiastical grade on listed building in Thurrock. It has been derelict since a disastrous fire in the 1980’s. This conflagration was supposedly caused by children ghost hunting in the empty building. Unfortunately the internal wooden panelling that was one of the main reasons for the listing was destroyed.
