Armada Istanbul Old City Hotel

"The Amanda’s location within the old city walls makes it ideal for visiting the main attractions besides being close to the sea front and promenade.We loved the charms of the 1950’s furnishings and fittings including photographs and other artefacts depicting Istanbul’s history. Our room was extremely comfortable with lovely pristine bedding and beautiful towels. The friendly reception staff gave us great advice about how to see all the sights on our list. We also loved the rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast with a great views of the sea and Blue Mosque - only topped at night when the Blue Mosque is magically transformed by lightning. The evening menu has lots of choice at a reasonable price while the range at breakfast includes a mix of traditional local foods. If we return to Istanbul the Armada Hotel will be our first choice to book."

"This hotel is in a brilliant location in the heart for the old city but also manages to be quiet at night. The breakfast was outstanding, all the staff were lovely and just as they should be. The room was spotless and it was an extra treat having a lovely balcony of our own to sit on in the evenings with a glass of wine"

"The room was excellent and was clean. One suggestion would be to provide at least two pillows per person (so a double bed would have four and a single would have two). All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is super convenient with the two main mosques (Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque) being about 7-10 minutes walk. The tram is also very close. The breakfast provided was good but could benefit from having a fresh juice station (it was a diluted offering) and a better hot beverages machine (the cappuccino and lattes were not great)."

"Stayed with kids , The facility is nice : clean housekeeping is great, front desk ( redwan, Burhan and shamsuleddin) were awsome also were bellmen Mohamed , sameh and others .. It is near everything , very close to sultan Abdul hamid II tomb. Between bazaar and blue mosque .. by the tram station. The only thing is the queen/king bed should be more comfier …the breakfast could have some improvement.. u might like it - we will say ok for breakfast 3.5/5 other than that I like it and I will be back … Again in total it scores 9.5/10"

"The hotel is beautiful; the spa was lovely, should have used more often! Hotel visually stunning fitting well with the surroundings. Easy access, walking distance to restaurants, some very good. and cultural attractions, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace. Eminönü dock to see more of this beautiful city via the Bosporus is a short ride away. The staff, from cleaners, porters. restaurant staff; to Reception; everyone so welcoming and kind. My only recommendation. Is that they give much less (dozens) choice for breakfast thus improving the quality. Overall a great experience to be repeated."

"This was our second stay at the hotel. The location is perfect a short walk away from the blue mosque and easy access to trams, ferry, the breakfast was okay. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable of the area, clean rooms with air conditioning. Would highly recommend this hotel."
