"Crumbling hotel in Centro Storico was difficult for us since it had no air conditioning and April temps were in the upper 80s, the only way to access breakfast was up treacherous death-defying stairs, and the bathroom was unpleasant (and I’m being kind). Staff’s friendly attitude didn’t outweigh the hotel’s faults. We wanted to check out after 10 minutes in the place but due to Hotels.com cancellation policy we were stuck paying for 3 nights, even though we checked out a day early. Would never stay here again. "Cool property in historic district. Rooms are not fancy but they are large with large bathroom and very high ceilings. Hallways are very wide, tall, and impressive. Apparently the place used to be a convent."
