「Our first impression with the staff was unexpected! We’d just arrived to drop off our luggage and the gentleman at the front desk offered to take our luggage to the room as we were crunched for time. A cab was waiting to take us to Highclere. Our room was cozy, clean and exceptionally stocked with clean towels, tea kettle, delicious coffee and tea. Dinner was great, with plenty of beer and wine options. 「Great find for our visit to Newbury. Breakfast included, 4 options to choose from and served in the pub restaurant. Also ate there both nights, food and service excellent. Room had all you needed, large room plus walk in shower. 」

「部屋の手入れが行き届いており建物の古さを感じさせない、駅から徒歩5分以内なのも良い。 チェックイン21時迄とあるが、バーが開いている間は問題ない模様、熱波で鉄道が遅延したので21時半到着となったが問題なくチェックインできた。 夕食提供は従業員の出勤状況に左右されるようなので事前に確認した方が安心。メニューはそこまで豊富でなく、バーガーやツマミがメイン。自分でツマミを持ち込んでお酒だけというのもあり。 緩いのが平気なら快適に過ごせると思う。」
