"This hotel is in an excellent location in the old town of Almería and is a great base for exploring the city. The reception staff were friendly and efficient on arrival, which gave a very positive first impression.
Parking was unfortunately not available at the hotel, but we were able to use a nearby Telpark car park just a short walk away.
The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. However, the room itself felt a little dated, particularly due to the lack of electrical outlets. There were three light switches by the bedside but no socket or USB outlet to charge a phone, which seems like a small but important detail in modern rooms.
Although there was an AC panel in the room, the hotel appeared to have limited it remotely to heat or fan only. As a result, the room felt quite warm compared to the corridors and shared areas, making it difficult to get a comfortable sleeping temperature.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we both slept well despite the room being too warm for the duvet.
Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The scrambled eggs appeared to have been prepared early and left in a heated container, making them quite dry. I would recommend saving the €10 per person and walking five minutes to a nearby café for a fresh Spanish desayuno instead."
"The AC is controlled by the hotel and it's not possible to control it. The heat is on and the only way to get it to cool down is by opening the window, but the noise on the street won't let you sleep. Breakfast is average."
"We were on first fooor in room 103 and I heard some noise from cars that disturbed my sleep - so if you’re a light sleeper like me not ideal. Juliette balconies quite low so not ideal if you have young children from a safety perspective. Accommodation clean, modern and comfortable. Smart TV. Ideal for our one night stay. Short walk from Centro Alameda train station and to coach station. Near historic centre too."
"The hotel is badly neglected. Hallway ceiling is falling apart, room and bathroom smelled like mildew. Linens have seen better days. We had 2 rooms and both rooms had the same mildew issue. Staff is supper friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite good and the location is great. It is just unfortunate that they have not renovated the rooms and hallways."
"The hotel is promoted with parking that’s why we chose it however there was NO parking available! We had to park in public parking and pay.
View- they charge extra for sea view but it’s terrible industrial view. "
"Nice looking hotel, clean spacious rooms (we had junior suites) and great location next to a nice square. The roof terrace was a bonus and the breakfast was good.
The detractors were mainly down to the design of the hotel.
The breakfast area on the top floor is minuscule with only 5 or 6 very small tables and the buffet essentially in a cupboard, so while the breakfast selection was good it was very awkward negotiating among other guests. Although the hotel wasn’t busy there was very little space at breakfast so don’t expect to be able to sit together if you’re in a group.
The design of the rooms would also put us off returning unfortunately, and none of this was evident from pictures online. If you value any sense of privacy (especially if not sharing the room with a partner) then you will have an issue with the bathrooms. Between the rooms we had, the one with the most privacy had a very finely frosted glass door behind the bed that did nothing once the light was turned on in the bathroom. In the worst room, the shower enclosure was completely exposed to the entire room with no frosting and the toilet behind a loose fitting frosted door. All completely unnecessary and avoidable design decisions that would put many people off (including our group had we known).
Overall the hotel is more design over function. We mostly enjoyed our stay but unlikely to return due to the above."
"The reception staffs were amazing, they are great asset to your hotel. it was my second time staying at the same hotel. I do recommend this hotel to others. "
