Wonderful location with great amenities and very friendly staff.
I was fortunate to be upgraded to a spectacular room, but the primary pleasure of my stay was being able to relax after a long hike in a comfortable environment, enjoy the hot spring and re energize with a delicious dinner.
The property is in a nice location overlooking the lake. The hotel is a bit old but spacious.
Dinner buffet was good with a lot of variety.

The window view is marvellous and beautiful for those who love nature. The only down side is there were dead bugs stuck on the window exterior and it affected slightly on the viewing experience.
It is a bit out of the way (you would prob need to drive here which is prob why we thought it was mainly for coach tours) but for a large and well appointed hotel it was remarkably good value for the room itself (which was well appointed with lovely bathroom). We chose not to have breakfast or dinner here as that seemed expensive so made do with what we picked up earlier at a conbini on the way here :). There was a nice games area in the hotel basement and we played some table tennis there. It was a 2 minute walk to the lakeside at the back of the hotel and the view is stunning We were happy we stayed here.

It’s on a beautiful lakefront setting, with all the rooms facing the lake. But the beds were more than firm, in fact rather hard, with only a single slim pillow apiece. The carpet looked tired and the room wouldn’t cool off no matter how one set the thermostat. Opening the slats at the bottom of the window eventually cooled it a bit. The dinner buffet seemed expensive at 5500 yen, with no option to order a la carte. So we declined and went back to town and hit the excellent Teshikaga Ramen place. Overall the hotel seemed more about appearance than comfort.

Very well located by lake Kussharo, beautiful scenery from room window on 7th floor. Spacious room, although it needs updating. Window panes need serious cleaning. Housekeeping gave a change of towels but a full dustbin was not cleared, beds not made and teabags were not replenished.
The hotel is right on the lake & we had a lovely view from our room. The onsen was very nice & relaxing. Dinner buffet was excellent with many choices including fresh sushi & lovely crab buns.
The hotel os located roght on front of Kussharo, but there is nothing much around there, so you are forced to have your food inntheir pricey restaurant. They do not provide bottled water in the rooms, or any other amentities like hair comb, shaving kit etc. beyond the necessary amentities like toohbrush; those are to be connected at the downstairs Lobby.
great view of lake kusharro from the picture window of the twin room. comfortable beds and a big sofa. restful onsen. professional staff. the hotel may be from the era of bubble glass lifts, but it has not lost its shine.

The hotel is located at a quiet place alongside the lake, while you could not reach the lake beach there was no beach there. The staff were very friendly, but the carpet in our room is very dirty. We booked a lake view room but couldn’t see the lake just the trees(maybe the room is in the lower level)
The dining was limited to over priced buffet (55000/ppl) for the level of food that were served, if you do not want buffet then you only have a choice of 3 set menus. The service was not great, and felt that we were inconveniencing them for not having
