Terres de Lavaux

Lovely hotel. We had a stunning room, large and looking onto the little square, 5 minutes from the Walliser Alpentherme baths. We loved the traditional decor of this 18th century hotel. The breakfast was a bit disappointing: too many people queuing in front of one coffee machine taking forever to make an espresso, or for a fresh squeezed orange juice from a machine that kept on jamming. Self Check-in and checkout was also on the negative side: nothing like feeling welcome on arrival. As the self-checkin didn’t work, we had to deal with the lovely staff anyway.

What a wonderful hotel. Room was lovely and spacious, with balcony overlooking the town and mountains. Beds were comfortable. Quick walk to train station and Glacier Express. Breakfast was plentiful, however eggs and bacon were cold, otherwise lovely stay.
