"Its a very eco friendly hotel. If you are looking for typical Hyatt/Marriott this is not for you! Food was awesome, staff were awesome! True Costa Rica experience"
"This is a beautiful property with about six restaurants in it. We very much enjoyed our stay at Santarena. A few drawbacks were that since the hotel is kind of secluded, we did not have many options for shopping, and the restaurants were quite over priced. "
"We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Papita! Beautiful house, has literally everything you could need (so thankful for beach chairs!) and a walking distance to the beach (2 access points) and several restaurants. Can't wait to come back! "

"I loved everything about my stay at Curiol except the fan in the tent. It could really be replaced with something stronger. Otherwise it was beautiful and peaceful. A wonderful way to start our stay in Costa Rica!"
Casa Natalia: Luxurious Oceanfront Villa with Housekeeping and Concierge
10/10 Excellent
"Ten of us ranging from 12 to 61 stayed for six nights in this beautiful house. There's nothing like being able to see and hear the ocean from your bed. The house is beautiful and super clean. The kitchen was decently stocked and the knives were even pretty sharp! We were really happy with our time there. I suggested that they add some blankets in the living room in case you want to get cozy watching a movie on the couch. I also suggested that they have some boogie boards or other beachy things on hand for the kids. Communication prior to our arrival was top notch. It could have been a bit better during our stay. But overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful house for your Costa Rica beach vacation. "
"We loved our stay in Las Catalinas! We stayed in a beautiful three-level, two-bedroom home with incredible views—sunsets from the balcony were unforgettable. The town itself is incredibly charming and totally walkable. Everything is thoughtfully designed, and it feels both upscale and relaxed. The only thing missing was a great boulangerie—while there is one in town, it was often nearly empty. A full boulangerie with more variety would be the perfect addition to this otherwise fantastic community.

"It was so much fun to see cows on the beach! The room we booked was huge and comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the bunk beds and the privacy curtains. The kitchen and living space was nicely equipped. All the nature around the hotel and the set up of the hotel is relaxing and lovely. We did encountered a plumbing issue during our stay that caused our unit to not have water for several hours for two days. The staff were helpful regarding this and accommodate us to shower in a different room. Not necessarily convenient but was not their fault and responded appropriately to the problem. The two restaurants had very similar food options and it was just alright. There were too many flies during meals and that was a nuisance. Staff were friendly at the restaurant as well. The pool and common areas look old and in my opinion could have more maintenance. We saw the pools being cleaned in the morning but the cement looks stained and many insects fall in the water throughout the day that could be cleaned for better enjoyment of the pool. "
"This place was absolutely gorgeous. The Hotel Santarena was incredibly clean, the staff were incredibly friendly, and it came off as genuine and warm. It was my first time to Costa Rica and I would recommend the Santarena to anyone that wants to have an amazing experience. It was a quick drive from the airport in Liberia, and it was conveniently located in an area that was not far from other great places to experience like Tamarindo and the Diamante Eco Park. And if experiencing local life and food is on your list of desires, just 10 minutes away was Potrero with some incredible food with the kindest locals at Los Abuelos. I recommend the Red Snapper. But seriously, the Santarena was a great stay experience. It was all inclusive and we were so incredibly well taken care of. "
"My family of 16, ages 7-80, enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house and grounds are beautiful, spacious and well cared for. When we had issues Jimmy was there to help. The beach is quiet, which we appreciate, and we loved being able to walk to a few restaurants nearby. All around wonderful experience had by everyone in our group. "
"The pictures do not do this house justice, even as amazing as they are. There were 13 of us staying in one house, with 4 kids, and 5 over 60 years old. There was ample room for all of us and never felt on top of each other. The kids ran out to the beach and we watched them from the gazebo and never felt unsafe. Jimmy was amazing and kept in contact the whole time. There was a cleaning service, security, and we opted for Donna, the in-home chef. They were all amazing! The beach was close to excursions and other beaches, and we walked to a local bar a few times. The sun sets at the beach and you can watch boats come in and out. It was clean, convenient, and everyone was so accommodating!"
