"Lovely location, very quiet, and a wonderful break"

"Gite donné avec du retard car le propriétaire devait le nettoyer ! Pourquoi mettre dans l annonce 16 h si le gîte n est disponible qu a 19 h ? Nous avions fait de la route et avons du trouver comment nous occuper avec 2 petits chiens ! Propriétaire très sympathique mais le gîte ne vaut pas ce prix car gîte très sale et vieux ! Des meubles vides une odeur de renfermé une cuisine sans lumière du jour avec des ustensiles pas forcément propres.. des WC ou il fallait verser un seau d eau en tant...

"Absolutely charming gite in a peaceful location that had everything we needed to relax for 4 days. The owners added extra touches with fresh bread, homemade soup and cake they had made with fresh produce from their garden. The children loved it and said they felt like they were in a treehouse!!! Lovely pool and seating area although it was a bit cold for us to enjoy it yet!!"

"We had a wonderful stay as a group of friends. We loved the farm feel and picking and snacking on sweet apples and walnuts. The pool was well used and host very helpful despite the language barrier. All in all a lovely stay!"

"The property was lovely, very quiet and stunning views. Jean - Pierre and Nadine were very helpful. Fresh bread and croissants were available daily and were very nice. Pool and hot tub were very welcome after a hard day's exploring the Peri- Nord. The Gite was excellent for people with a disability, very accessible with wide corridor and wide doorways. In all I would fully recommend this Gite for a stay and would love to return in the future."

"Plazac besticht durch die absolut ruhige und ungestörte Lage! Die Hauptstraße des Dorfes ist nur wenig befahren. Es gibt einen kleinen Supermarkt ("Bio"), die Bäckerei ist fast gegenüber. Der Vermieter ist ein sehr interessanter Mann, der sich hervorragend mit den prähistorischen Fundstätten der Region auskennt und gute Tipps geben kann. "This is a great property which is perfect for two families sharing, plus has a granny annexe too. The kitchen is well equipped and also.has a BBQ. The pool was warm and brilliant for the kids. It's to the North West of Sarlat, about 10 mins from Salignac which has a small supermarket, boulangerie, petrol station etc. Loads of tourist things to do nearby including canoeing on the Dordogne. It feels very rural yet almost everything is within a 30 mins drive. The owner was very accommodating...

"This was a good option for a base when visiting the region. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, if a little strangely designed. A lack of sensible plug sockets (we had to boil the kettle on the floor!) and the water from the shower went everywhere because there is no shower tray - yet is not a wet room! We found parking stressful, we arrived late at night and found no spaces free thanks to inconsiderate parking from guests, the hotel would do well to mark acual spaces. We did squeeze our tiny car alongside the bins for overnight, and then after heading out early could not get a space at any other time during our stay. The night porter did help us at one point by explaining that the street parking would be ok overnight as long as we moved again by 8am. Given that we were on a three week road trip we had a very full car and this wasn't ideal. We would have liked to try the restaurant but couldn't as they seemed to stop serving earlier than advertised. We were told it was 'fully booked' at around 8pm despite lots of empty tables, we think they just didn't like that we hadn't pre booked. All in all this hotel was good enough and comfortable for a short stay and maybe better if you are less busy and have less luggage, but for us it just has a few fracture points that in all probability would not encourage us to stay again. The town is charming and we found good options for both breakfast and later dinners, just don't go out too late as the options dwindle."
