Laybak Retreat -Highly recommended comfortable Kiwi batch

  • Our Kiwi bach is a warm cosy much loved suntrap. This property is perfect for the family holiday (Pet friendly)or for a group of friends just wanting to get away from it all. Also ideal for a one night stay over. Te Anau offers the beauty of the mountains and Lake with the natural wildlife being very special. Sitting out on the deck you can take in the relaxing atmosphere of TeAnau with the view of the mountains and the sound of the bird life.
    With being so handy to town its a lovely stroll in to dine out and have a couple of drinks or to take the family to a nice cafe for lunch..
    We have 4 Push bikes available for your use at any time, boules, quoitze,crochet and a bouncy trampoline and a small sandpit for the kids. There is board games and DVDs for those wet days!
    Set in a safe quiet friendly neighbourhood with an extra large back yard with plenty of parking space. We would like to share with you our piece of paradise.

Nice spot to visit the area

Great house in a great location

Very clean property with all the amenities. Close to all the Te Anau activites - boating, biking, hiking and a great home base for Milford and Doubtful Sounds. We're very happy we chose to stay at Laybak Retreat.

Great location

Layback Retreat is a lovely property within an easy 15 minute walk to bars, restaurants,shops and the lake.We particularly enjoyed the patio, garden (thanks for the boules) and barbeque.Mick was brilliant in sorting out the gas for us for the barbeque!We had a great stay!

Sunny and quiet.

Clean, bright, comfy retreat in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown. Slider opens onto spacious deck and beautiful yard. One of our best accommodations in NZ.

Wonderful property

It was a comfortable, attractive place for us. We could walk to town. The deck on the back was a wonderful place to hang out after exploring this beautiful area. Thank you so much to the owners. We loved our stay.

Great house, with all the little touches

A great weekend away in Ta Anau. House was cosy and well presented, with lots of little touches and extras, like condiments, herbs, toiletries, etc. Loved the large, fully fenced lawn for the dog.

South island holiday.

We loved this cosy little property. Close to the shops, lovely back yard and well equipped with everything we needed. We have to mention the cleanliness……. It was impeccable. I am a clean freak myself and this property exceeded my own standards! Would absolutely stay again.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely little home for our short stay. Had everything that you need. Quiet neighbourhood. Only downside was the mattress in the master bed was very soft so not very comfortable for me. Everything else was great.
