"You are staying on a boat on land however it was modernised with flushing toilets and hot water and heating. Hosts Lynette and Angus were lovely and could not do enough for us, loved our welcome treats and nice touches throughout the boat. Perfect for a couple with medium size dog. "The property had everything we needed. Sitting outside in the evening was very nice. The log burner was cosy after the sun went down. It was only a few minutes drive to the local shop and distillery. That being said,some mould remover and a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. shop and distillery."

"This is a very concise, beautifully thought out space with a deck overseeing an expansive gorgeous valley filled sheep, birds, rising sun and moon. Iona and her husband could not have been more attentive and helpful. My husband and I have traveled the world seeking prehistoric monuments and sites and Kilmartin Glen is moments away as is its museum. The concentration of millenia of sites is exceeded only by the number of rock art sites even nearer the Pod. We recommend it highly!"

"My daughter and I absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Lochead Chalet. It's in a wonderful spot right on the loch side, and oh my it is so very peaceful! The chalet itself was a perfect size for we two adults and our little dogs and we found it very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. Karlina in the Ellary estate office was lovely too. A beautiful location for a holiday and a charming place to stay - highly recommended. "
