This is a GEM! Beautiful hotel, excellent location. Staff is extremely helpful , breakfast was delicious. Everything about this boutique hotel is perfect! Next stay we will try the restaurant for dinner.

This is a five-star hotel. It is beautifully restored and a classic. The staff is very service oriented, friendly and attentive. The location seems to be close to everything. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will return.

We had a beautiful room with a lovely patio area which was shaded all day, keeping cool. There was a rooftop area with a few sunbeds and two very small plunge pools. The hotel was beautifully renovated and in a very good location, in a lovely part of town in easy walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. The only small negative was that most of the patios lacked privacy, but the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed so we didn’t mind.

This hotel is excellent. Absolutely beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the Wi-Fi in our room was giving us a very poor signal.

Beautifully renovated palatial building, with some great design features. Right in the centre of the old town and very short walk to the Roman Bridge. The staff were exceptional, very helpful with nothing too much trouble. The hotel is well planted out with two outside garden areas. There is a spa, but the sauna is not yet finished and we didn't use the other facilities. My only quibble about the room was the lack of any drawers to put things in, and a TV above a desk where there should have been a mirror. Great breakfast offering, eggs cooked to order and an extensive buffet. We were at the back of the building and it was very quiet, some people at the front reported noise from the road in front. We didn't have dinner at the hotel because there are so many great and fairly inexpensive restaurants just outside or a very short walk away. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back again.

Very lovely hotel! Location was perfect for walking around Tavira. Room was lovely and clean and they even provided beach towels and a beach tote. Only small issue was my room was closer to the main stairs so there was quite a bit of hallway noise that you could hear from the room.

Our stay at Palacio de Tavira was just amazing. This property is in our opinion the most beautiful building of the town. It is facing a charming public place with restaurants and a church. We recommend to book a room from the historical part of the building. The breakfast is delicious as a combination of buffet and a la carte. The staff is so helpful: we loved the touch of having every the hôtel beach bag with towels !

No complaints about this property. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner were brilliant. The location is perfect for walking Tavira. The room had a strange layout with some wasted space, but I imagine it made sense in the old days when that building was built. Maybe the kept their goat in that space!? Our room was on the third floor in the elevator only went up to two!!!

It’s very central to the restaurants and coffee bars - they are on the same town square. It’s a lovely old building but very modern and clean inside. On arrival the staff were very friendly and smiling and showed us around the property. The room was cleaned very well every day. The breakfast had a great selection, with freshly cooked food and was available from early til 10:30 Would definitely stay at this hotel if in Tavira again.

We had a fantastic 5 night stay at the Palácio de Tavira. A few days prior to our arrival we received a lovely message from the hotel asking if we had any special requirements, dietary requests, whether the visit was to celebrate a special occasion and if we needed help with getting to the hotel. We mentioned that we would be arriving earlier than the check in time and would like to drop off our bags if possible which the hotel said they could accommodate. What a pleasant surprise when we arrived that the hotel said that our room was available immediately. This gave us a bonus afternoon to get settled in, unpacked and explore the town. The housekeeping staff maintained the room immaculately with fresh towels provided every day, sometimes replacing them in the evenings too when they called in to turn down the bed. The tasty hotel breakfast includes fresh fruit, cereals, continental meats and cheeses plus a prepared selection from the menu such as omelettes, full English, smoked salmon bagels etc. It’s the staff that make this hotel so special though, from front desk to housekeeping they are all so friendly and eager to make your stay perfect. Our room was one of the Junior deluxe penthouse. The balcony’ was really only a tilt and turn window that looked through the balustrades that decorate the top of the hotel frontage but it satisfied our needs. Rooms on lower floors or in the newer part of the hotel possibly would suit you better if you like a Juliet style balcony.
