"Lovely comfortable flat with lovely seaside decor. Amazing view of the sea. Close to everything you need. Parking is tight but they do warn you of this, so it wasn’t a surprise. There is some noise from the road as there are traffic lights outside the bedroom window and it’s near the theatre so some noise from there. But it did not affect our long weekend break and we had a wonderful time and would go back."

"The property is an amazing old building right in the centre of town, opposite the fossil museum and a very short walk to the beach As others have mentioned it is directly above a burger restaurant, which didn’t pose an issue other than an overwhelming smell of old cooking fat in the communal entrance although isnt noticeable upstairs in the apartment The place was perfectly clean but the sofa has seen better days and the main bed was very uncomfortable. There is a strange system of in-corridor hot drinks dispensing rather than in-room, but kettle, drinks etc are available to take up to the room from reception."

"Staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. Lobby is welcoming. Premises are clean. Great location easy walk from train station and city centre for shopping etc. The Ashton experience really depends on which rooms you stay in. Rooms are basic but always clean but it's pricey for what you get. But then accommodation in whole of UK is high compared to what you pay overseas."

"We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival with lots of fuss made over our dog. We booked a family room ( not sure we were allocated the room we booked) and were allocated room 1. The room was very small and didn’t have any kind of view. We had to switch the air conditioning off because it was very noisy. Room looked a bit tired. Lovely basket with dog treats, dog bowl and poo bags left for us. Sparce choice for adults and nothing for our daughter. We ate in the restaurant, staff were very friendly but service was slow. We enjoyed our food when it arrived. Breakfast was ok but you didn’t get a lot of choice. The hotel room was fairly cheap when we booked, the hotels in s nice spot with plenty of parking. Was it good value? Yes. Would we recommend? Yes. Would we stay again? Yes for the same rate that we paid ."
