Amazing view of the Pacific Ocean!
We truly enjoyed our 3 weeks at Villa Fortuna in Costa Montana near the town of Tarcoles along the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica. Costa Montana is a gated community with 24/7 security. The views are breathtaking! All 3 bedrooms overlook the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest below. The drive up the mountain is not for the faint of heart. It is STEEP - a 4 wheel drive is an absolute must. The last section up to Villa Fortuna is a 22 degree grade with 3 switchbacks. If you like to walk be prepared for very steep inclines. The house is very comfortable with 3 floors, 3 large and comfortable bedrooms (with a 4th small overflow bedroom). Breakfast at the outdoor table just off the kitchen was our opportunity to see toucans/macaws. The Sonos sound system which feeds music to the pool, den or family room was excellent. The BBQ area was perfect for eat at home nights. We requested a cleaner to come in weekly and she was excellent and very affordable. The pool and patio overlooking the Pacific and rainforest below were the absolute highlight of our stay. Not everything in the write up is accurate. There is no fresh fruit on the property as stated. There are a number of typos. There is only 1 bathroom (not 2) serving two bedrooms on the third floor. The property does not have a direct sunset view - the sun sets behind the rainforest. Our host was excellent - always there to meet our needs. Gracias Robert. A wonderful stay at a very beautiful home.
