「Für 1 Nacht vor der Safari gebucht, war es gut. Allerdings 2 DZ gebucht und wurden in einem Bungalow( mit je 1 Bad) untergebracht. Anlage war schön, Essen sehr gut und Personal sehr nett. Die Unterkunft ist sehr abgelegen, aber sicher.」

「One of my worst hotel experiences. The air conditioning in the room did not work and there is no overnight staff to contact. It was 34 degrees. There is no bottled water in the rooms (you cannot drink the tap water). When an extra towel was requested (for the second person in the room - the room had 2 beds) the staff said none were available as they needed to do laundry. 「Rooms are stretched over a beautiful area close to the ocean and are spacey and well maintained. Options of two bars/restaurants with friendly staff; service in general very good - which is rare in Zanzibar. Food and drinks are good quality and many choices but also quiet expensive , similar to the 5-star hotels close by. Otherwise one of the best spots in Pemba! 」

「PLEASE BE AWARE. This place overbooks clients so when you arrive they say there is NO reservation under your name. Then they send you to another location of much lower quality. People at the new location confirmed that they do this all the time. It is not a mistake but rather a scam. I left that second location and was lucky to find a nice hotel nearby for the same price. I did get a refund but most people will probably stay where they are forced to stay due to lack of options and uncertainty. I...

「I just stayed 2 nights at Casa Umoja. It isn’t a place with all the frills but that is exactly what I was looking for. There is a lot of greenery on the compound and it has all the basics that one needs. Definitely reasonably priced especially when you consider that it includes breakfast. A fruits plate with an assortment of 6-8 local fruits and then some continental breakfast food like eggs and toast. The owners are on site and helpful with answering questions. Das Personal ist ist sehr freundlich und hilsbereit und stehen einem mit Rat und Tat jund Service ederzeit zur Seite. Die Lage ist toll. Vom Hotelrestaurant blickt man direkt in eine schöne kleine Gasse mit bunten Geschäften und aufs Meer. Nur 100 Meter und man steht schon am Strand. Das Essen im Hotel ist günstig und superlecker, besonders das frische Seafood hat es mir angetan. 」
