Comfy hotel to stay

Peaceful hotel to stay with a dog/ dogs on the way to the dog show. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are comfy. The breakfast is great. This is the hotel where we have stayed several times and where we always come back. Also the restaurant La Cucina is worth of visit.

Good value, newer hotel

Newer hotel about a 20 minute walk to Old Town. Room was spacious, however our twin room had 2 twin beds lined up together with 1 topper covering both, essentially making it like a king size bed where every movement of the other person was felt, leading to a disruptive sleep. There is more than adequate space in room to rectify this. Jetted, deep tub in bathroom with shower was a bit treacherous to climb in and out of, with no grab bar. Room was immaculate. Breakfast selection was a good variety but none of the hot food was actually hot. All staff were pleasant and helpful.

Seen its better days

Good hotel but being a spa hotel you expect vanity sets, shampoo and body lotion in the barhroom and there is no such thing. Our bathroom had a leaking shower that couldn't be fixed. We were offered to change hotels but that would mean packing and unpacking and loosing out on valuable time. So we stayed. No deduction of prize was offered, just an extra towel to put on the floor as to not slip in the water. Cleaning of our room was very late the first day. Nice breakfast and conveniently situated. An extra plus for the wonderful girl in the reception who really did her best to help. We really appreciated it.

Sadly cleanliness is below the standards: a bath was dirty and black mould all around, someone spill a drink on the wall before my stay and this has not been cleaned. Disappointing, not likely to book ever again

Booked standard room, upon check in found out I've been allocated single room and the hotel was full so could not be given an alternative room, had to get Expedia involved. Receptionist has not been proactive in terms of resolving this issue. Do not recommend this hotel. Stayed around 4 times and despite having golden status never been upgraded nor offered special treatment.

Underwhelming

Check in was ok although not especially friendly. The hotel room was clean, but the first disappointment occurred when I found out the mini bar was empty. When I questioned the receptionist he said there had been a recent decision made to remove all minibar stocks from standard rooms and only include in the more expensive ones, so I decided to go and get some beer and soft drinks from a nearby supermarket instead. However I then found the the minibar fridge was also not working (it appeared the plug was too far from the socket). The restaurant food I had on the first night was ok but nothing special (the worst bruschetta I’ve ever had, an average bolognese which wasn’t very hot and the tiramisu was ok), service was good and friendly though. Breakfast however was good. Room was serviced daily very well. Reasonably close the the old town (15-20 minutes walk, or bus stop outside). Checkout was again not friendly and not asked if I had enjoyed my stay (I was even asked if I had used anything from the minibar which didn’t exist!). Overall I wouldn’t say this was a four star hotel, three at best.

Unge og svært lite imøtekommende personalet i resepsjonen. Vi følte det var ubehagelig å spørre om noe når vi var der. I resturanten var det grei servise fra servitørene, men tror ikke vi så noen smilte en eneste gang. Rommene var fine, virket som ok renhold, se bort fra brukte plastkopper som lå under nattbord. Svært dyrt spa i forhold til andre spa i nærheten. I tillegg var det tidsbegrensnig på bruk av spaanlegg, så vi fant ett annet sted vi kunne kose oss hele dagen til under halve prisen. Alt i alt ett ok hotell om du kun skal ha ett sted å sove og spise frokost.
