Owner and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Perfect location to all old city attractions and buses to Bethlehem right outside the Jaffa gate. There is a nice modern outdoor strip mall outside gate next to hotel as well with restaurants and shops."

"The rooms could be a little cleaner.. There are plenty of shops and places to eat a very nearby. The train also runs on the street. The breakfast is expensive at Ibis. Usually went to a shop for coffee and pastry nearby. The hotel is on Jaffa Street very convenient to get two things. 15 minute walk to the old city."

"I have stayed at this hotel many times and it has always been excellent. The rooms are big, the showers are hot, and on the first floor there are some very good food places, so it is easy to get something to eat. Most importantly, they offer free shuttle service on the hour to Ben Gurion. This is huge because there is no direct route to the airport and a cab ride will cost your $40-$50 dollars. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you need to catch an early flight."

"The beds were horrible could not sleep and the air-conditioning and the heating was on all the time it was either too hard or too cold. It will not turn off on automatic."
