We really liked the secluded location literally right on the water. House had everything we needed along with some staple food items like non-perishable condiments. Directions and check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow even though the property is a little out of the way.
This was the most enjoyable home I have ever rented. I thought of it more than a vacation rental - it is such a special spot that I thought of it more as a joy to experience. This area of Hood Canal is really unique. When the tide is out, it feels like you are on a boat on the water. Rainy days were elegant and sunny days with the mountains over the trees were crisp. I had a smile on my face and an sense of awe and wonder the entire time. The homeowners have impeccable taste. I so appreciated how well appointed the house was from amazing kitchen tools to many family games and puzzles to lovely and comfortable seating to the chargers on the bedside tables. I can't do it justice. I appreciate that we were fortunate enough to be able to stay here. We will definitely come back.
Delightful quiet refuge on the Hood Canal. Lovely home with terrific views.

Private beachfront gem
The property is quietly situated in a manner that makes you think you have no neighbors... Such a treat in an area populated with many vacation homes, for good reason. We loved the feeling of floating over the water, and our toddler kept mentioning he thought we were on a boat! We also loved kayaking every day. Would definitely return!
This home was amazing, plenty of space with large beds for adults on a mini vacation. Best surprise was a fully operational kitchen that included a KitchenAid. We were thrilled with all the extra kitchen utensils and appliances. The 180-degree bay window was exceptional, we saw plenty of wildlife just sitting in the living room. The hardest challenge was getting to the house, the steep driveway was no joke, highly recommend arriving while there is still day light. I will definitely return this summer, it's an exceptional home and location!
My family had an incredible stay! The location can't be beat. You'll essentially have your own private (shell-filled) beach, which was great for tide pooling with young kids (don't forget to bring Keen water shoes). There were endless views of the Olympic mountains. 4WD or AWD if there is inclement weather would be helpful for the steep road down to the house. The house itself is well equipped with significantly better than most rental kitchen equipment, art, etc. The outdoor swing was a hit with the kids, and we certainly took advantage of the grill. My family plans to return on our next trip to the area!

Amazing private paradise
Very impressed with the spotless and beautifully equipped home, kitchen, laundry and amenities. WiFi was fantastic and we were able to work while we viewed the canal. So glad we brought our own cable because they even have an EV fast charging outlet for our car! We utilized BBQ nightly and the kitchen had everything we needed. The swing, kayaks and beachcombing were like being on your own private island. I would advise bringing good beach shoes that protect from oyster shells. The old growth trees were beautiful. We loved everything about this house and will definitely return.

So good.
The home is built right on the edge of the water, so close you could listen to the water lap along the sea wall like the side of a boat….from the upstairs sitting area. Drop dead views and wonderful amenities and ambiance. Very private, never saw a neighbor and rarely heard a car. The home is a little exposed to the sun in the afternoon sans curtains or shades but cools off quickly in the evening. Could easily have spent two weeks here.
Driveway is steep and snow or ice will very likely strand a car unequipped with chains. We did fine in the autumn with a rear wheel drive, tastefully lowered sedan.

Relaxing family getaway
This house is a gem, we feel so lucky to have found it. The porch and views are incredible. We saw orcas, seals and otters. We were here on the 4th of July and treated to amazing fireworks from Hoodsport across the way.
We had 3 boys (6, 8, 10) who enjoyed the swing, kayak trips w dad, swimming and the well stocked game room. Some ventured across the sound to Hoodsport via kayak, about a 30 minute trip one way for two (mostly) in shape adults. Not any stores or activities nearby, 30 min drive to Belfair, so being all that you need with you. Comfy beds and good internet. We were wildly impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was and all the small details that make things easy, like dish soap, laundry detergent, blankets, etc. management was communicative and helpful.
If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway we highly recommend!!
We had a wonderful time, we loved that the kitchen was completely stocked had lots of games upstairs we enjoyed watching the sale and the birds the private quiet setting was ideal. Check in and check out process was very smooth. We would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful place to get away. The nearest town and restaurants are about 25 minutes away. Kitchen has everything you might need. Highly recommend

The place is very private and located along the waters with a direct access to it. Best part is that the home is well equipped with kitchen amenities, and paddles, a canoe, extra life jackets, dog toys, cleaning supplies. Highly recommended!!

Gorgeous views, relaxing trip
This home had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Comfortable beds, gorgeous views everywhere, clean kitchen and bathrooms. Disappointed to not be able to harvest oysters on the beach, but the weather was amazing and made up for it.

Great place for quiet family time!
We loved the Tahuya Trees & Tides property! The views are absolutely incredible. The house is located on a very quiet part of Hood Canal which helped us feel like we were getting away from it all. The house was spotless when we arrived, and it's full of awesome amenities that I haven't found in other rentals. The whole family enjoyed board games while taking in the amazing view. I also enjoyed kayaking and saw seals, jellyfish and bald eagles. Can't recommend enough!

Peaceful
We loved the deck and beautiful view of canal. The quiet was so peaceful and the house had everything. Very comfortable and well decorated. We enjoyed the kitchen and cooking our meals.
What an amazing property! The house, the views, stunning! The wifi non-existent, the property management not helpful with the situation. Spent way too much time trying to figure it out, calling, re-setting, waiting...only to to hear "sorry" after 2 days. "We will make it right" and "We will give a credit" then nothing. No wifi also equals no TV. So we made the best of it. The house is perfect, very secluded and clean! The driveway a little treacherous glad we arrived in daylight. Would definitely stay again provided there was wifi available.

Beautiful home, private luxury but not very well cleaned
What I loved about the home was we had a beautiful view of the water, the house was well stocked and had all the kitchen appliances. There was otters seals various birds if you wake up here in the morning you'll find raccoons, deers and other wildlife. The only thing that really dampered the whole entire beautiful environment was the fact that dishes weren't properly cleaned the blankets in the living room had a strange odor to it and the bottom bedroom did not get cleaned at all and had a strong smell of urine so we were not able to use the downstairs bedroom at all and what would be the deal breaker if I told my family was that there was invading mouse that kept on coming in at night time going to the pantry so you should probably not push a groceries on the bottom because the mouse will get it. We had bite marks on our grocery bags and I didn't want to tell the family about any of this to ruin the trip. If the cleanliness was not a problem this would have been easily a 5 out of 5 but because of the unsanitary conditions I gave it a 2 but my partner if it was possible would like to give it a negative score.
So when we came the person that was cleaning the house was still in the middle of cleaning. She said there was 4 houses that she had to clean so she was a bit behind. She was really nice about everything. There was a huge wasp nest that I informed her in the following day maintenance came out and killed the wasp nest. There was a few problems on the location that really hurt the score. The bottom room downstairs smelt like urine so we couldn't stay there luckily our kids want to just sleep in the bunk beds together. My partner noticed the throw blankets that were on the couch and other chairs had a particular smell to it so we end up washing all of them. On the second night I saw a mouse downstairs so I decided to lay in the nook & waited to see if I can take a picture of the mouse which I wasn't able to but I found that the mouse was going to the pantry and I had a whole bunch of bite marks on the grocery bag and various dishes were dirty which really grossed out my partner. With all the combinations of unsanitary things it really knocked down the score. Personally my partner wanted to give it a negative score because of all the unsanitary things that we found. As well as the kayak had a small hole in the back wish didn't kill the trip the kayak was still useable but only able to go out maybe an hour at a time which was fine by us. We actually didn't notice until we made it back and saw quite a lot of water.pix of mouse bite on bag & entry point where it came out of
