This home has been in our family for over 40 years. It is such a special place. Having lived in the area for 20 years it was very nostalgic for us. The views from the porches were spectacular. The house with all the bedrooms worked perfect for our group. The Host was very communicative and responsive. If we find ourselves in the area again we would love the chance to stay.
The view from this home was so beautiful! We sat on the porches all evening. We took walks around the neighborhood in the hills, so pretty. We loved this property! Thank you for having us!!!
Family reunion and group really enjoyed the property and location. Beautiful view and close to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Property Manager was very communicative, easy check in and check out.
Amazing! House was spotless and views were spectacular! Location was close enough to be able to walk to water and walk along shore. Amazing grocery store, shops and restaurants on Proctor street which was less then a 5min drive. we wish we could have stay longer and hope to be back again next year!
The views are the highlight of this home! On clear mornings the sunrises were amazing, but even on rainy days the view did not disappoint. We could see mountains and even a partial Mt Rainer view on clear days. The well stocked kitchen included trash bags, dish & dish washer detergent and even washing detergent for the whole trip. Host was great at communicating and accommodating. Neighborhood was safe and full of beautifully historic homes. There are several nice grocery stores close by and about 30 min to SEATAC airport. Tip: fill up with gas at one of the Tacoma Express 76 stations. It was aboout .40 cheaper per gallon.
We were there for a wedding. The location was close to everything we were involved in. Host was very accommodating. Home was comfortable and supplied all our needs.
I was super impressed with how cute and quaint this neighborhood was. This house was super spacious and had more than enough room for our family. My favorite part was enjoying the ocean views every morning on the giant balcony.
This home is perfect for family gatherings. The views are amazing and the neighborhood is beautiful and safe. The home owner is very kind and helpful. We took walks everyday and visited a delicious coffee house about a two minute drive away. We would definitely stay here again.
Nice house great views from 2 upstairs bedrooms and 2 outside decks. Views from main level front living rooms also great. Kitchen well furnished; beds comfortable. Great location - close to many things in Tacoma
Our family enjoyed our fall visit to the Pacific Northwest. Beautiful views from a historic location. The owners were so easy to work with and shared plenty of helpful tips. Be sure to budget time for coffee on the porch each morning - it’s just breathtaking.
Our family rented this house when we came to Tacoma for our son’s wedding and we couldn’t be happier… the house was meticulous, the views amazing and the owners easy to communicate with. We were able to walk almost everywhere and really enjoyed the neighborhood
Our 3-generation family of 9 guests all loved this space. First level BR was critical for the grandparents as upstairs is not friendly to anyone with mobility issues. But the house, despite being old and creaky is well kept and the location and views were all very enjoyable. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. The owner was responsive and supportive. Five star property. Thanks Annie!
We loved this place. It worked well for my daughters wedding and the multiple family members that came and went from town. Host went above and beyond for us. We needed to check in early and then extended it for an additional day. Annie was so accommodating. 10+++ starts for this property and for the host!!!
The pictures of the house were great and it didn't disappoint in real life. My family and I had a great time. Our host was excellent - great communication. Very clean, great neighborhood. There were 9 of us and it fit us very comfortably. We were able to walk to a few restaurants and bars. Museums nearby (a short drive). Overall a great stay. We'd definitely recommend this place and would stay there again. Total thumbs up!
This was a wonderful place for a gathering. Beautiful house with breathtaking view! Very responsive hosts, Daily adventures and hikes. But the kitchen was amazing. We cooked all our meals together because we love cooking! And there was every kind of cooking implement we needed! Everything was perfect!
Our stay at this location was wonderful. We had ten adults who were able to have a bedroom. The bathrooms were enough for us all to share. The beds were very comfortable and the house was clean. We spent one week in this location and it was as described in the details. The house was very clean and had all amenities that we needed. The view of the Sound is amazing. Loved having binoculars to look for whales. Ann was quick to respond before our stay with questions I had. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable!
Location is safe, close to a lot of great activities; food, sound, shops. Views from porch and windows are beautiful. Host was responsive and let us check in early. House could use updating. Upstairs bathrooms are in need of remodeling, especially the showers. Furniture looks nice however when u sit on the couch or chairs they uncomfortable from age, taking away from the enjoyment of the view. The porch upstairs needs usable furniture to enjoy the amazing view. The front guest bedroom frame should be replaced or removed as it squeaks so bad u wake up ur bedmate when u simply roll over. Home is nicely equipped with all of the necessities for a large family/group. Housekeeping was well done and appreciated!
This property was so nice. The whole family came for our daughter’s graduation. There is room for everyone. We had 11 adults and a four year old and four cars (with room for at least two more). Grocery stores were very close by as well as restaurants and coffee shop. If you plan to do any cooking and have left overs, you may need foil, plastic wrap, or ziplocs. The coffee grinder and coffee pot were A+. We replaced a few skillets that were at the end of their life and were reimbursed!
We had such a wonderful time staying at 106 Orchard. There were 7 of us including an infant and a 4 year old. We all loved having coffee on the porch every morning watching the ships go by. You can even see the top of Rainier on a clear day! The host, Annie, was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. Check in and checkout were smooth and easy. We really cannot say enough great things about this home and we hope to return in the future. One small thing— the train is pretty loud in the mornings so I’d recommend running the fan or bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
As a local PNWer who knows the not so clean reputation of Tacoma, this beautiful neighborhood of Prospect Hill surprised me and impressed me greatly. So many beautiful, old, well-maintained houses. Lovely neighborhood.6 minutes to 2 supermarkets across the street from each other. 6 minute drive to a walk along the shore and restaurants. 11 minutes to the History Museum. We saw fireworks in all directions on New Year's Eve. Wonderful time. The house is very roomy. Landlord says she'll add a desk which will be convenient. Landlord is super responsive. We couldn't get the Amazon Fire stick to work, and were stuck with regular channels and Youtube. Hope that access will be better for the next guest.Thank you!
