Location was excellent. Very clean and spacious rooms. More spacious than most other rooms in Syros. Breakfast was also good. Self serve buffet and had variety. No lift. We ran into an issue with our key pad lock and they were on site immediately.

Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay at Eclectic. It’s worth being aware that the hotel isn’t really staffed, so when you arrive you are sent a code to get through the door and then another for your room. Unfortunately the code to our bedroom door didn’t work. Fortunately the cleaner was still there and so able to help us access the room and the key. There isn’t a lift, so you have to carry luggage up a narrow staircase. Both these elements didn’t leave a great first impression. The rooms are quite small but the bed frame is very large for the space. It is 4” wider than the mattress and has hard edges sticking out which we both stumped our legs into trying to navigate around the end of the bed. The mattress topper is also a further 2 inches smaller than the mattress - so what is advertised as a queen bed is more like a small double in terms of sleepable space. As we both cut our legs on the bed, we asked to move to a larger room which was showing as available on their website. This was refused / the website was not showing accurate availability and no other options were offered. The breakfast is served at the hotel next door and is quite basic / low quality. It’s fine, but nothing stand out or special. We certainly wouldn’t return are surprised the ratings are so high to be frank. In the plus sides, the location is good for the port and town and the bathroom is clean and modern with an effective shower.

Η διαμονή μας ήταν εξαιρετική! Υπέροχη τοποθεσία, στο κέντρο της Ερμούπολης, με όλα σε απόσταση λίγων λεπτών με τα πόδια. Το δωμάτιο πεντακάθαρο, καλαίσθητο και πολύ άνετο. Το προσωπικό φιλικό, εξυπηρετικό και πάντα πρόθυμο να μας βοηθήσει με χαμόγελο. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!
