Great location. Room was neat and tidy with wonderful touches for comfort (fluffy bathroom mat!) and organization (well-placed storage and hooks). Friendly staff and good coffee/muffins for breakfast. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Quaint hotel, clean room with fridge & microwave. Our room was in great condition, clearly renovated in the past year or so. The bathroom was nice too. Nothing that stands out, but it was in good condition, clean and with plenty of hot water. The bottled water, fresh fruits and snacks were a nice and welcomed touch. Coffee & mini muffins are available at reception every morning too.

It is an old motel that has had money put into it but it did not match the ratings shown on the Expedia site. It is located all by itself but it is only about 20 minutes from Skaneatles lake.

We stayed at this property while in town for a wedding in Skaneateles and it worked out perfectly. The owners were very nice and you could tell they do want people to enjoy their stay in the area. Our room did get a little hot in the evening and I wish the pillows and beds were a bit more comfortable. The shower handle was a bit hard to get adjusted to a comfortable temperature. There is easy access to a small shopping mall area nearby for more chain-type restaurants but also be sure to check out some of the smaller restaurants in the area.

This was our first stay at Nightshade. My son lives in Marcellus and we were looking for a place that was close to him, economical, and clean. We found this place to be ideally located, and I can't say enough about our beautiful smiling host! It was great to have coffee and light breakfast items available before we headed out for our day. We will certainly be back in the future.
