  • Welcome to River Rest! This magical riverfront tiny house is the perfect nature escape, just 20 minutes to the Great Smoky Mountains and 5 minutes to Sylva and Dillsboro. Fish right on the property, rent kayaks or go rafting just 2 minutes away and enjoy beautiful hiking trails nearby. Wake up in a cozy bed to the soothing sounds of the Tuckasegee River.

    River Rest sits right on the Tuckasegee River and gives you easy access to fun and relaxing activities. Kayak down the river, hike in the mountains, fish from the riverbank or grab great food and drinks in town as it is all close by. The tiny house is located at the front of Laurel Bush Riverfront Cabins and Campground, offering a quiet, cozy place to enjoy nature and explore the area.

    ◆ 3 minutes to downtown Dillsboro with great restaurants
    ◆ 7 minutes to downtown Sylva with amazing food and local breweries
    ◆ 20 minutes to Great Smoky Mountains National Park
    ◆ 20 minutes to Cherokee
    ◆ Located at the entrance of Laurel Bush Riverfront Cabins & Campground

    You will have full access to the entire tiny home during your stay.

    We are pet friendly! Pet fee applies at booking. Please reach out if you have any questions.

    We have 8 other riverfront cabins nearby in a small, family friendly campground that remains peaceful and perfect for relaxing getaways.

    Everything you need is provided, including linens, towels, cooking essentials, and coffee. The kitchen has a hot plate. Just bring yourself and enjoy!

It’s a great place to stay. The little cabin has everything you need to stay comfortably. Near downtown Dillsboro for a quick bite but isolated enough to be quiet. The view of the river is also a plus. I’ll definitely be back for my next year motorcycle trip. CD

Property was very clean and had a beautiful river right outside. Not typically a fan of anything but hotels, but this had everything you might need! Hosts were also very responsive when we had any questions!
