"I paid for an expensive room that was supposed to be”have a view of the mountains”. It had a view of a hedge and a parking lot. It was very dusty to the point where my allergies went crazy. The heater barely worked. It was a gigantic room but it didn’t feel like a $400 room. Also it was weird that people could see into the windows while walking to their cars."

"The motel provided the very basics. There was definitely repair work that needed to be done in the room. It was an OK option if you are trying to save money."

"The best word to describe our experience at Amanda’s house is disappointing. We rely on the listing and the reviews to determine whether or not a house is a suitable place for us. The listing did not mention that the house sits on a major thoroughfare and looking at the map we were unable to determine that. One of the reviews said it was “quiet “ so that would lead us to believe it was not on a major thoroughfare. Day and night it was loud in the house. One night after we had gone to bed a truck passed by and the entire house shook. Some people may not be bothered by this but it made our week, day and night when we were at the house, unpleasant. Dirty laundry was left in the washer from the previous tenants. The dishwasher appeared to have clean dishes in it when we arrived which we left in the dishwasher."

"Felt the check in process was substandard. Did not get the details until 3:55pm and check in was at 4pm. And mind you this was on a busy friday in SoCA. Also despite multiple internet passwords, known worked. "

"everything about our stay was perfect. The communication and check-in couldn't have been easier. The Casita is great and is in walking distance to so much. The neighborhood is beautiful. I would highly recommend this this stay for anyone looking for a great time in the greater Claremont area."

"Beautiful, brand new studio apartment that looks exactly like the photos. The complex, Village at Montclair, is also impressive: it's newly built, upscale, and includes a pool, gym, lounges, and nicely designed outdoor spaces. The unit was quiet. The host was responsive by message and kindly offered early check in. The location worked well for us, about a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive to Claremont.Unfortunately, the check in process was frustrating. The address provided on the VRBO app led to an empty lot, and once we found it, we couldn’t access the building because entry instructions hadn’t been sent. Phone calls went unanswered, and we were asked for additional personal information before access was provided. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to get in.There were also a few issues: the key fob stopped working (which was addressed quickly), only one wash cloth and hand towel was provided for two people, and the lockbox location made re-entry awkward. The request to remove shoes felt unnecessary, especially since the flooring is synthetic wood and there’s no carpet.Overall, a beautiful unit in a great new complex, but the access process and logistics need improvement."
