Sunset from the Nydeggbrücke bridge, just outside the old town of Bern. The Bern Altstadt is a UNESCO world heritage site, and I swear I have never seen a river more brilliantly turquoise than the River Aare, which encircles the Altstadt. The Swiss capital is a definite must for a Switzerland itinerary.

"Very friendly welcome.Great room.Clean and comfortable.Great little touches like slippers, bath robes they even lent us travel plug adapters.They also sent us travel passes that covered our trip to and from the airport and could also be used on public services within Geneva.Great location less than 10 minutes on the train from the airport and opposite the main station.Everything within walking distance.I would definitely recommend."
